元々、９曲目の「エクセレント・チェンジ!究極戦隊コウガマン」が原作マンガの中にあって、それを実際に歌にしようというコンセプトから始まった「あ〜る」のＣＤなのだが、ご存じの通り、Vol.1ではなくこちらのVol.2に入っているのである。この「すっとこどっこい加減」が許されるのもまた「あ〜る」ならでは、である。

後の舟本正夫「イヤイヤ社員旅行」へとつながる「正しい青春」、川村万梨阿女史の詞もかわいい「Boy's Sick」、ジョン・ケージも驚く（？）現代音楽「電気GOHAN」、亡き塩沢兼人さんの素朴な歌声が今となっては切ない「ぼくはアンドロイド」、相変わらずあっちへ行ってしまっている「帰ってきてしまった、はっぴい・ぱらだいす」、名ドラマ「世界征服しましゃうの巻」（「あ〜る」が「ブンドル」に変わる瞬間に鳥肌が立つ！）など、聞きどころ・佳曲が多く、ゆうきまさみマニア、マサユキスト、田中公平ファンならずとも必携のアイテムである。

しかし、外せないのは、名曲「マジカル季節」だろう。冬杜−山本−田中ラインはこのあとまたも名曲「くちびるにメモリー」を世に出すことになるのだが、これらの曲が描く「正統派の青春」があ〜るの「無茶苦茶な青春」と表裏一体であることは言うまでもない。誰もがわかりうる淡い青春を描いた両曲はあ〜るファンでなくても心にジンとくると思う。だからたくさんの人に聴いて欲しい。そして、「くちびるにメモリー」のリマスター再発に向け、あ〜るを再評価・盛り上げていこう！
