【作品全体について】
本巻のブックレットには、キャラデザの大田和寛のインタビューが掲載されており、「うる星やつら」を例に「スタッフの熱意ある暴走が作品を面白くする」と語っていた。

その意見には大いに首肯するところだが、当時にしてもあれほどパロディ満載で、何でもアリな作品が多かった訳では無い。
他に思いつく同種の事例としては、ぐっと近年になってしまうが「エクセル・サーガ」「ギャラクシーエンジェル」あたりか。（ガイナックスの諸作品や「ケロロ軍曹」の場合、パロディというより「オマージュ」なので、少々毛色が異なる。）

長年アニメを見てきた上で、ことパロディに関して「大成功！文句なし！」と太鼓判を押せるのは、うる星、GA、ぱにぽにの3作が筆頭である。これらに共通するのは、パロディ対象を選ぶセンス、方法論の斬新さ、各キャラとの親和性、タイミング（時代性）、徹底した遊び心、である。

【本巻について】
恒例の作画修正回は第14話だが、今までの各巻ほどでは無い。本巻収録の第13〜16話は元々クオリティが高かったので、さして修正の必要もないのだろう。小ネタの追加はたっぷりあるし、主題歌の変更もある。詳しくは見てのお楽しみ、ということで。
また、ブックレットには「地球文化史」と称して、パロディの元ネタの系譜が（伏せ字だらけで）書いてあり、なかなかに楽しめる。

各話の内容についても軽く触れておく。
第13話‥番長モノが途中から何故かロボットモノに。森山雄治健在なり！。名作。
第14話‥大した話ではないが、作画が良好でベッキーが超絶可愛い。
第15話‥崖から落ちかけたバスが舞台の密室劇。パロディも膨大で気が遠くなる。名作。
第16話‥MIB風の大仕掛けが痛快。ニューヨークロケ。ゲーム風画面は大沼心演出の真骨頂。本作の最高傑作の一つ。

【結論】
この巻はホント名作揃い。これは買いでしょう。

個性的なキャラ達が、溢れんばかりに暴れまくる（？）ぱにぽにだっしゅ！も４巻まで来ましたー。不思議キャラの一条さんは不思議さが増す一方です。他にも黒板の言葉やエンディングの絵が度々変わってたり、見所は満載です。オープニング、エンディングの歌もワンパターンではなく、見飽きません。そして、原作やドラマＣＤもあるのでどこからでもこの楽しさを味わえます。イチオシの作品です☆

第四巻から、ぱにぽには大暴走を始める!!謎の番長連合・牛番長ヒロスケ!?そして謎の巨大番長に、立ち向かうはベッキーの乗るぱにぽにX?その他にもタヌキの登場や、崖っぷちでバランスをとり続ける遠足バス!!さらには、あのミステリアス学級委員、一条さんの恋!?相手はあの、、、っと、ぱにぽにを始めて見る人にはなかなか頭の痛くなるような展開が盛りだくさん!!しかし、何故だか引き込まれてしまう、、、勿論、今までぱにぽにを見てきた人は常に進化している、ぱにぽにに更にハマってしまうだろう!!
さぁ君はこの加速について来られるカナ?
ついてこないと損するぜ!!
