間違いなく最高傑作です。

SOULFLY,DISTURBED,DOPE等などが新作において、軒並み昔のヘヴィさを取り戻している昨今ですが、
SEVENDUSTも例外ではありません。

しかも1st,2ndの攻撃的な鬼グルーヴと、3rd,4thの歌心が見事に融合し、
それが凄まじく『NEXT』レヴェルへ引き上げています。

メロディアスでありながら、激しさ・迫力もある傑作です。
今までSEVENDUSTは聴いたことが無かったのですが、店頭で視聴し即Getしてしまいました☆
特典DVDにはレコーディング風景とメンバーのインタビューが収録されていますが、俄かファンの自分には割高に感じられました。
限定ボーナストラックなども無いので、DVD無しの方をお薦めします。(ヘヴィーなファンだと違うのでしょうが)
サウンドは☆5つですが、特典が割高な分☆4つです。

思いきりヘヴィーなリズムの上に硬質なリフをガンガン当て、ヴォーカルは決して甘くならない男らしいメロディーを歌い上げる、
という彼らの得意パターンが、このアルバムでは行き詰った印象を受ける。

相当な数のライブをこなしているのだろうと明らかに分かる安定した演奏技術はさらに磨きがかかり、特にDrは鬼気迫るくらいの
迫力を感じる。かなりの実力の持ち主だ。

しかしながらアルバム全体として、今までより印象的なメロディが少なく、このことが、あぁまたこのパターンか、と単純な
印象を与えることになる。

次作では曲作りをもっと煮詰めてくれれば完璧かな。
