まず感じたのが、すごく音が良いです。ライブ音源にありがちな、団子状態で音が出てくるというのではなく、各パートの音をバランスよく聞くことができます。矢野顕子、細野とのコラボも楽しく、また、各曲のアレンジも、アルバムとは異なり、新鮮な印象を受けます。特に酔いどれダンスミュージックのアレンジは素晴らしく、一聴の価値があります。いずれにせよ、1976年に既にこのような音楽をやっていた事にこのバンドのすごさを感じます。私はまだ当時18歳で、ライダーズ聞き始めは、翌年、同級生より火の玉ボーイを借りたのが最初で、その東京感覚的なセンス（歌詞、演奏、アレンジ、もちろん楽曲）にはまり、今日までファンです。最後のブラスバンドはお愛嬌ということで星を一つ削りましたが、今の若いリスナーよりも私のような隠れライダースファン（後輩とカラオケに行っても、本人は歌いたいのに場がしらけ、とてもライダースは歌えない）に打って付けの作品です。最後に、ここで聞かれる駒沢裕城のペダルスティールは本当に素晴らしく、是非聞いてください。

ムーンライダーズの貴重な初期ライブ音源。ミキサーのラインアウト＋聴取者録音テープが音源になっているので、音質的にはかなり不利ですが、健闘しています。なにより、ライブの楽しい雰囲気が伝わってくるのが嬉しい。慶一さんのMCが、妙に初々しい感じなのが面白い^^;

はちみつぱい から、火の玉ボーイを経て、ムーンライダーズ（赤いレコード）に至る中間点。後にアルバム化される曲の、演奏や歌詞が固まる前のバージョンが聞けるのも貴重。一つのバンドの創成期の強烈なパワーがあふれ出てきます。

細野さんとデビュー前の矢野顕子もゲストで参加。ちょっと高いけど2枚組み。価値ある一枚です。

これから、新しくムーンライダーズを聴く人向きではないかもしれませんが、すでにライダーズ経験があったり、はちつぱい、はっぴいえんど 等の日本の初期のロックに興味がある人には、お勧めの一枚です。

最近のロックにしか興味がなかった未成年だけど、これは昔の音楽だといえども(懐古主義とかじゃなく)今の音楽に十分太刀打ちできる品質。最近のオリコンのセレブ気取り音楽やラップなんかより100万倍良い。
他のムーンライダーズの作品も聴きましたが、なんかライブの方が味があるって感じで。昔でいうならば最先端の音楽だったのかもしれませんが、最近の若者が聴く分には渋い格好よさみたいな感じ。メロディラインはキャッチーで一度聴くと覚えられるほど、しかもメロディ以外のパートは忙しいギター音やオーケストラルなバイオリンが響いていて、飽きない。
カメラ=万年筆もかなりオススメ。唯唯格好いい!!
