「良い観客、良い会場、良い音楽」の3拍子揃ったプリーストの武道館公演です。
日本のファンには忘れられない「Exiter」「The Ripper」といったレア曲や定番曲が惜しげもなく披露されます。
中でも「Pain Killer」は最高の出来。
映像もメタル系によくある目まぐるしいまでのシーンの切り替えも無く
落ち着いたカメラワークで疲れません。
内容も特典など一切無くライブだけで勝負を掛けてきていてその潔さはまさにMetal Gods。
コール＆レスポンス・シーンでのサラウンド感も実際に会場にいるかのような臨場感があってGood.
ロブも「Budokan Tokyo」の台詞を連発して今の彼のベストを尽くしています。
あと当日の観客の皆さんにも星5つを捧げたいと思います。

残念でならない、、、、
この場に居られなかった、、、、

でもこのDVDを観ただけで、10曲目のイントロで顔をくしゃくしゃにして泣いていた観客の方の気持ちが痛いほどよくわかる。

私にとって、かつてHMHRは青春そのものだった。
ジューダスプリーストやブラックサバスは正に神だった。
しかしいつしか生活に追われる身となり、神への信仰はとまっていたかのように思えた。
しかしこのDVDを観たとき、
神はまだそこに居た。
あの頃と少しも変わらぬパワーとエモーションを持って、
寸分たがわぬ、いや、より円熟したパフォーマンスを見せてくれた。
私の中に、まだあの情熱と興奮が残っていたことを思い出させてくれた。
思わず押入れの奥からギターを取り出し。指が痛くなるまで弾いてしまった。
好きな人は買わずに死ねるか？
もう一度、あの興奮を蘇らせたくはないか？

内容はご存知のとおり5月に行われた武道館講演の模様を伝える物だがやはり自分も当日観に行った一人なんですが最高のﾗｲﾌﾞでした。本当にメタル好きだったら行ってて間違いないようなライブでした。そんな自分の行った公演が映像化されるなんて一生の思い出になりました！行ってない人も行けなかった人も是非これを観て体感してもらいたいものです！
