   水の星アクアの観光都市ネオ・ヴェネツィアで、一人前のゴンドラ漕ぎ“ウンディーネ”をめざす灯里ら少女たちの日常を描く未来形ヒーリングTVアニメーション。原作は天野こずえ。『ケロロ軍曹』などの佐藤順一監督による持ち味がフルに発揮された秀作シリーズのDVD第1弾。
   第1話「その　素敵な奇跡を…」は、修行中の灯里とマンホームから来た少女アイの出会いを描く。以後、このふたりのメール交換によって毎回のドラマが綴られていく。
   第2話「その　特別な日に…」では、夏を前にネオ・ヴェネツィアの街中が水で満たされるアクア・アルタの時期、ARIAカンパニーも開店休業となり、灯里はいつもと違う視点から街を眺めていきながら、やがて優しい先輩のアリシアと、友人・藍華の厳しい先輩・晃との関係が微笑ましく描かれていく。アリシアの口癖「あらあら」が炸裂！（増當竜也）

　テラフォーミングによって蘇った水の惑星「アクア」、その観光都市ネオ･ヴェネツィアで日夜修行に励むウンディーネ見習いの水無灯里が様々な人々との出逢いを通じて成長していく、それはそれは素敵なストーリー。独特な空の蒼と煌めく水飛沫・丁寧に描きこまれたネオ・ヴェネツィアの佇まいも素晴らしく、視聴している者の表情をいつしか微笑みに変えてしまう不思議な魅力を持っている作品です。
　本編の物語はもとより、ヒーリング＆ラウンジテイスト溢れるサウンドトラック・OP&EDソングを含めてまさしく「奇蹟」と言えるような優しさと慈愛に満ち溢れた癒し系アニメの傑作と言えます（恥ずかしい台詞、禁止！とつっこまれそうですが・・・）

　日常で不用意に生じてしまった心の”凝り”を解きほぐしたい方は是非ご覧になってください、何物にも代え難い時間がこのDVDにいっぱい詰まってます

今年、もっともはまったアニメーションです！
あまり漫画を読まないので　このアニメで原作を知りました、原作を読むと　ますます　はまってしまいます。
最近のアニメ、生活にマンネリを感じる方は是非おすすめします。

「ARIA」をアニメ化してくださった、監督の佐藤順一氏、制作スタッフの方々に感謝します。

　原作ファンも納得のアニメ化です。
　一般的に、アニメ化で原作の雰囲気が損なわれることが多々ありますが、ARIAのTVオンエアを観て、それは杞憂に終わりました。
　原作と違うところはいくつかありますが、そうかと言って、原作の雰囲気を台無しにしている点は全くありません。スタッフの方たちが作品の趣旨を理解しつつ、放映季節に合わせて上手く昇華させています。すでに予約しましたが、Navigation2も楽しみにしています。
