ミドリは好き嫌いがハッキリ分かれるバンドだと思います
自分は好きになってしまった方。
第一印象はちょっと苦手なカンジがあったのですが、頭からメロディーが離れないのです。
また聴きたくなって、もう一度、もう一度……
と、聴いているうちに、はまってしまいました。

自分は激しい音楽は嫌いな方だったのでミドリを好きになるなんて思ってませんでしたが、
批判的な意見を見て拒否してしまうのではなく、
一度聴いてみてください。

「ファースト」は最後の曲「POP」でミドリという存在がわからなくなります(笑)
これはもう、この人達の才能です。
是非聴いてみてください。

何の予備知識もなくミドリのライヴを観たのですが、かなりの衝撃でした。たぶん聴く人によっておもいっきりヒくか、すごいハマるかどっちかにはっきり分かれるバンドだと思います。Vo.後藤まり子の過剰なパフォーマンス、そのパンクなアティチュードに度肝を抜かれます。
サウンド的にはジャズパンクと言えばいいのでしょうか。跳ねるようなピアノの旋律とドシャメシャなバンドサウンドが融合した楽曲に、Vo.後藤まり子の童謡とかわらべ歌の類のエグイ部分だけ取り出したかのような節回しに、デス声もありなドぎついヴォーカルがやりたい放題に暴れまわってます。こう書くとヒドいアングラな音楽のようなんですが、妙にポップなところもあるのが不思議と言えば不思議です。またM-6『POP』という曲だけは非常に普遍的なグッドメロディーな曲で、詞もとても心にグッとくる切ないいい曲です。
一言で言ってしまえば、過剰でヨゴレな椎名林檎といった雰囲気なんですが、とにかく一度聴いたら良くも悪くも衝撃（感動もしくは違和感）を受けます。

４人編成。ボーカル制服を着た女の子。けどその「女の子」はステージ上では可愛らしい素振りなんか見せることはない「ボケ！カス！パンコちゃうわ！しばくぞ！」を連発。ギター片手に暴れまくり。激しい、けど美しい。これが彼女たちのライブ。彼女たちにとってこれは「ステージング」や「パフォーマンス」ではない。このスタイルが彼女たちの「ライブ」である。この音源はミドリの代表曲を６曲。これを聞くということは新しい世界に入り込むことだ。
