   『誰も知らない』で天才子役ぶりを見せつけた柳楽優弥が、象使いとなった実在の主人公を演じる。動物プロダクションを営む一家の息子、小川哲夢は、象の心が読める特技を持つ。そんな彼も、新しく買われてきた子ゾウのランディは調教できない。哲夢は一人前の象の調教師になろうと、専門の訓練学校のあるタイの田舎町へ向かう。タイトルが示すとおり、悲しい結末を予感させる物語だ。
   象使いの訓練を通したタイの人との交流や、哲夢と家族それぞれの関係、淡い恋など、青春の要素が散りばめられ、誰もが共感しやすい仕上がり。柳楽の大人びた表情は、俳優としての成長を感じさせる。さまざまな芸が象の能力の高さを実感させてくれるし、象以外の動物たちのユーモラスな活躍も見どころだ。映像では実際にタイでロケを行った大自然が美しく、坂本龍一によるエキゾチックなメロディがマッチ。家族で観たい、爽やかな一作である。（斉藤博昭）

動物の演技にこころをぐっとひきつけられる作品です
柳樂くんの　いい意味で　普通　な　演技に
この子は　うまいなあああと　感心しきりでした
人間の涙もせつないですが・・・・動物たちの　鳴き声が　とても切なく心に響いた作品です・・・・
もちろん　私も　肩を震わせながら涙しました
柳樂くん　と　動物たち　あと　常盤さんの　演技のうまさに注目してもらいたい作品です
す〜〜〜っと　物語の中に引き込まれていきますよ

映画でも観たのですが　あの感動をDVDでずっと手元に持っておきたくて購入しました。何度観ても私は涙がでます。
動物は基本的に大好きなのですが　象にそんなに興味がなかった私でも象がとても気になる存在になりました。
子供にも大人にもおススメで　現代の忙しい生活の中で忘れてしまった陰りのない　夢のある純粋な感情を呼び覚ましてくれます。
坂本龍一さんの音楽も素晴らしく、作品を見終わる頃には　はまっている事と思います。壮大なタイの大自然と動物愛、人間愛が心に響く作品ですよ。おすすめです！

まず、この物語が実話に基づいているということに驚く。
中学生の男の子が、象使いの修行をするため、単身タイに飛び、言葉や生活習慣の違いに苦労しながら、日本で始めての象使いになる。
彼の夢は、タイにあるような、年老いた象たちが暮らせる“象の楽園”を、日本にもつくること。
その夢が叶わぬままに終わったことは残念だけれど、彼のような人がいて、彼のような生き方があり人生があったということは、決して無駄ではなかった。
そのことを広く知らしめてくれたこの映画は、それだけでも大きな意味があったと思う。
主演の柳楽優弥は、実に不思議な俳優である。
素人くさいようにも見えながら、それがまた、いかにも手慣れた演技を見せる俳優たちとは一味違う、リアルさを釀し出す。
坂本龍一による音楽も、叙情豊かでエキゾチシズムに満ち、効果的だった。
タイの自然豊かな森の美しさも、どこか根源的な懐かしさを感じさせる。
爽やかな感動の残る作品だった。
