グラフィックばかりに気を取られたのか、特に真新しい変化は無いです。そのグラフィックも、デモムービーの時のキャラの動きがガクガクしてぎこちなかったり残念な結果に。

機動性に優れた者や、力押しでねじ伏せる者、広範囲攻撃に優れた者など、キャラの個性は各々あるものの、どうにも使い勝手が悪く、無難な義経をメインに他キャラはカムイゲージ温存部隊になるような事が多くなるかと思われます。

前作は敵が一斉に襲いかかってきたところをカムイで対処するだけの作業で殆ど進める事が出来、難易度は低い感じを受けましたが、今作はその流れがやりづらく、中盤からは囲まれてもカメラ位置の悪さが相まって突然背後から刺されたり、遠距離から弓を射たれたり、はたまた特定の敵を倒さぬ限り延々と増援が来たりと、ただやみくもに攻撃ボタンを押してるだけではあっという間に体力を減らされます。かわし動作やガード、敵の位置確認も要求されるので、そういった意味ではバッサバッサと斬り倒すだけのゲームと比べ爽快感は薄いと思います。あとは全キャラ移動スピードが遅いのも気になりました。

前作が好きだったので、期待して買ってみましたが、物足りなさを感じ「面白い」とは思えないのが残念でした。

無数の敵を次から次へとなぎ倒していく、という「爽快」をテーマにしたアクションゲームです。
史実に残る源氏をモチーフにした世界設定ながら、和一本に囚われることなく、それでいて
和の美しさ、というものをPS3で存分に表現している作品ですね。

ビジュアルは確かに綺麗です。PS3のロンチタイトルとしての意義はあると思います。
が、普通にゲームとして見ると少々首を傾げざるを得ません。
「爽快」をテーマ、と書きましたが、正直「爽快」な気分には全くなりませんでした。
敵の数は意外と大した数もないし、「どうぞお斬りください」と言わんばかりに
勢いよく襲ってくることもなく、ノロノロと歩いて近づいてくるだけです。
味方は味方で動きに鋭さがなく、連続攻撃という爽快感はまるでないに等しいです。

「神威」という空間に突入すると、更に一方的に攻撃することが出来ますが、
こっちが速くなるのではなく、敵が遅くなるだけなので、これまた爽快感がありません。

GENJIの1作目では批評が多かったですが、2作目も更なる批評を呼びそうです。

弁慶で敵をなぎ倒すときコマ送りになることがあったり，ムービーもガタガタのところが一部あり，「PS3ってこの程度で処理落ちするの？」って感想を持ちました。話の流れもダイジェスト版みたいな流し方でキャラに感情移入する間もありません。物語としての見せ方が足りない感じです。
ゲーム後半は魔瘴鋼がいらんほど貯まるし，雛石は回復アイテム化し，神威を打ちまくってれば何とかなってしまうあたり，ゲームバランスは今一つです。
敵の倒し方や謎解きも癖があって，だんだん単調になってきます。
それに，4キャラも使えるのにメインで使うのは義経か弁慶，タマに静御前を使い神威用に武尊を温存する程度でキャラの見せ場もほとんどなく，勿体ないです。
　PS3の性能，BDの容量，何処から見ても中途半端な感じでした。
