セガサターンの中でもトップクラスの難易度を誇るRPGでした。
後半のダンジョンはワープ・落とし穴・移動床・一方通行ドアの嵐で、
攻略本なしで攻略するには相当の気力が必要でしょう。

携帯ゲーム機で手軽に遊べるRPGという観点から見ると、こちらより続編として出た
「ソウルハッカーズ」のほうがよかったようにも思いますが（主にプレイ時間という観点で）、
出た当時のものよりシステムも親切になっていますので、オリジナルよりは
遥かにプレイしやすくなっています。

最近の映像ばかり奇麗なRPGに飽きた人はぜひ。

ちなみに私はクリアするまでに１００時間以上かかりました。

メガテンシリーズは、ほぼ全てクリヤーしたメガテンファンです。PSPでデビサマが出ると言う事で楽しみにしていましたが、悪い意味での完全移植。PSPの特製を生かしてなく画面比率も悪く見にくく画像も粗い。比率をPSPにあわせると画面が潰れた状態。開始数分で辞めました。どうせ移植するならPSPの特性を活かした作品にして欲しかったです。

良い点　　　　　　　
　・難易度選択（HARD/NORMAL）
　・ロード時間が短い
　・どこでもセーブできる
　・悪魔の図鑑がある
悪い点　
　・PSPの横長画面に対応していないため、最大サイズで表示すると、横に伸びた映像になる。

　以上の点を踏まえたところ星４つになりました。
