ＣＤ屋で「最終列車」が流れていて、その頃ムックを知らない私は、「多分ムックてこんなん
やろなぁ。昭和歌謡・・・（微笑）」パーソナリティが「ムックで”最終列車”でした」て
聞こえた瞬間試聴コーナーへ。他のＶ系の”歌モノ”とは明らかに性質が違う。これがムック
の個性か、と驚嘆。純ムッカーからは随分毛嫌いされるアルバムなのも分かる。幸い私は
”音楽好き”なので、純粋に”良い曲たち”に出会えて良かったと思う。初期の”突き刺
さる”感を、実はもっとリアルに研ぎ澄ましたと言えるかも。特に「昔子供だった〜」
などは身につまされる思いがしたし。ある程度社会や恋愛の経験を経た大人が、「痛いトコ
突かれた〜！」て感じる歌詞がある。ダメージを与える対象が一般社会＝メジャーへと
拡がりつつあるのだろうか。重苦しい雰囲気だけでない”異質の棘”は充分に感じられる。

以前のムックとは明らかに違う作品です。
痛々しさはすっかり成りを潜めてます。
だけど、曲は純粋にいい曲が揃ってると思います。
昔子供だった人達へ
雨のオーケストラ
こもれび
ココロノナイマチ
どれもびっくりするくらい昔のムックとのギャップが凄いですが、
でもやっぱりムックだなって感じです。

中でも
優しい記憶
は秀逸!この曲はとても綺麗な曲です!
降り続ける雪を見て、別れた恋人との雪の日の想い出がよみがえる…そんな感じかな?

ただ、いい曲は多いけど全体を通して聴くと飽きやすいかも…

良くも悪くも、今までの作品とは違います。
これまでのゴリゴリした悲痛な叫びのような楽曲を期待していた人は肩透かしを食らったように感じるでしょう。
反対にマイルドで優しいものを欲していた人にはたまらないものでしょう。
感じ方は人それぞれ。
ただし、カートに入れるときには今までとは違うことは肝に銘じておいてください。
