幽玄のような幻想のような、そうかと思えばファニーなお伽話のような。
ここにないように見えるのに、意志の強さが凛としている。
冷たい、しかし美しく、強い音楽は昭乃さんだけの物です。

どうか聴いて下さい。

特記したいのが、アルバムのラストを飾るアレンジの変わった「美しい星」。
デビューして２０年。昭乃さんをとりまく世界も変わります。
前作「エデン」でも「世の中のことについて」歌を書くと仰られていました。
今回も、ひっそりと昭乃さんのそのメッセージが込められていると強く感じさせられました。
美しく儚い歌が、美しいのに物凄く力強いメッセージに変わっています。
線の細い歌声なのに、こんなに力強さが出せるのだと戦慄しました。
ファンの方も、この楽曲は是非聴いて欲しいです。

初めて聴くのになぜか懐かしくもありおそらくどこかで気づかずに耳にしていたのか、と思っていたら「Moon Light Anthem」って「ぼく地球」の曲じゃないですか！まさかここで再会できるとは。新居さんの繊細で透き通るような歌声はときに女性的だったり少年っぽかったり優しかったり寂しげだったりと曲によって様々に印象が変化していきます。全体的に天空や海、宇宙、未来都市といった広がりのあるイメージと、独特の清涼感とノスタルジックな雰囲気が味わえます。どこか無国籍風でもあります。最初は声質があまりに独特で　少しだけ怖かったり(？)しましたが、慣れた今はとても安らげるアルバムです。

今から10年近く前、初めて聞いた時に感じた「別世界への扉を開けてくれる声」。今もそのフィーリングは変わりません。14曲目「降るプラチナ」を聞いてもらえればその意味がわかっていただけると思います。これから新居昭乃さんの世界に触れようと思っている方にはアルバム「RGB」と同様に最適なアルバムではないでしょうか
目を閉じて聞いているうちに、心に浮かんだ風景がアルバムの歌達とシンクロし始めますよ。ぜひお勧めします。
