「ハリオ ジャンピングリーフP JPP-50W 500ml(2-3人用)」は、フタの裏側に取りはずしができる茶こしつきのハーブティーポットです。ジャンピングがおこしやすい丸型ポット。ティーバッグを引き上げて、取っ手部分に結べます。2-3人用。耐熱温度差120度。

おいしい紅茶のいれかた
●ガラス本体にお湯を入れ、ポットを温めます。ポットが温まったら、そのお湯は捨てます。
●人数分の茶葉を入れます。*紅茶の場合ティースプーン山盛り1杯(約3g)が1人分です。
●汲みたての水を沸かしお湯を注ぎます。*お湯の温度は95度が最適です。
●ジャンピングが終わったらカップに注ぐ前にスプーンで一度まぜ、下に沈んだ旨味を均一にします。
*細かめの茶葉を使用された場合、茶こしのすき間から茶葉がもれることがあります。その場合は、カップに注ぐ際に別途手持ち式の茶こしをご使用ください。

ジャンピングとは?
茶葉がお湯の中の空気をとらえ、お湯の中で茶葉が上下に動く様子を指します。ジャンピングによって茶葉が徐々に開き紅茶の香りと旨味をひきだします。きれいなジャンピングをおこす秘訣は、お湯の温度。沸騰直前の95度前後のお湯には茶葉を動かすために必要な、ほどよい空気が含まれています。ポットの底に一度沈んだ葉が再び浮き上がりこれを数回繰り返した後、茶葉が沈みきったら飲み頃です。

お手入れの方法
●洗浄する場合は、やわらかいスポンジに中性洗剤を使用してください。やわらかいスポンジでもガラスを傷つけるものは、思わぬときに破損する原因になります。使用しないでください。
●クレンザーなどの研磨剤入り洗剤はガラスに傷をつけ、思わぬときに破損する原因になります。使用しないでください。
●汚れのひどいときは「家庭用漂白剤」を薄めてご使用ください。その際「家庭用漂白剤」の取扱注意書きを必ずお守りください。漂白後は十分に水洗いを行ってください。
●ガラスポットは食器洗い乾燥機のご使用ができます。

●オーブン・直火は使用できません。
●電子レンジをご使用の際は、フタをはずしてください。

見た目はとても安っぽいティーポットですが、持ち手や蓋がプラスティックなので手入れが簡単、その上蓋も熱くならず、お茶を注ぐ時も蓋がカッチリとはまって動きません。使い勝手はとても良いです。見た目さえ気にならなければ、便利に美味しく紅茶が頂けます。２〜３人用と書いてありますが、蓋の辺りまでギリギリに入れて３人分って感じなので、基本的には２人用です。もう少し大きいサイズがあるといいなーと個人的には思います。

ここ最近紅茶党に変身したわたしは、
フレンチプレスに飽き足らず本格的に美味しく紅茶を淹れようと試みている。
さて、待ちに待ったHARIOのジャンピングリーフポット、これで淹れるお紅茶は確かに豊かなアロマと福与かなテイスト。
ただ、水量の目安になる目盛りがワンカップ分しか付いていない。
細かい事でしょうけれど、2〜3人用ポットには３カップ分の目盛りを付けて欲しかったです。
そうしたら、星の数は5つだったのになぁ☆

ずっと使っていたiwakiのジャンピングティーポット640mlが割れてしまったので
今度はこちらを買ってみました。

比べてみて、こちらがいい点は
・鍋敷きがいらない
・ガラス部分の口が広いので中が洗いやすい
・安定感がある
良くなかった点は
・若干iwakiのほうがたくさん入る
・どちらも見た目の高級感はあまりないけど、
　プラスチック部分が大きい分、こちらの方がさらに安っぽい？
・鍋しきがいらない分、鍋式部分を外して洗う手間がある。（簡単ですけど）

とはいえ、差は非常に小さいので、どちらを買ってもいいとます。
どちらも紅茶（日本茶も）を入れる、洗うという作業については
本当に便利にできていると思います。
陶器のポットや内側に茶漉しを入れるタイプのポットは
もう使いたくなくなりました。
ちなみに、うちは氷水を入れたり、
めんつゆを入れて卓上に置くこともありますが
そういう時も便利です。

ただし、見た目がどうしても安っぽいので星が一つ減りました。
でも、考えてみれば
取っ手や足はプラスチックだからこそ、使うときには便利という点もあるので
難しいですね。
