　このキングレコードの低音シリーズの録音ってクリアで、しかも低音が他の楽器に埋もれないで聞ける所が気に入って、普段から持ち歩いては聞いています。
Brian Blomberg等、渋いプレイヤーが名を連ねていますが、納さんがこのラインナップに入るってことで早速聞いてみました。

ウッドベースの納さん、すごく良いです。
聞いている側にも、気持ちの高揚と言うか、緊張感と言うか、"テンション"を感じさせてくれます。優れたプレイヤーに共通する要素の一つがこの"テンション"を感じられるか否かにある様に思います。
特に、好きな曲を一つ二つ上げると、I wishでのプレイはとても心地よいです。ピアノの音も濁りがなく、聞き応えがあります。一方のSome Skunk Funkでは、ギターとベースの絡みが楽しめます。これがなかなか良い。
三色の虹でもそうでしたが、納さんのベースプレイに共通していえるのは、センスの良さでしょうか。しかも、納さんとっても手が小さい。使っておられるベースもフルスケールじゃないんですね。にもかかわらず、この心地よい低音。
プレイヤーとして、一段ステップアップされた印象があります。

ジャズのどスタンダードからコンテンポラリー、ファンク、スティービーワンダーまでちょうどいい加減で選曲されている美味しいアルバムです。

ジャコのドナリーをあえてコンバスのみで挑戦するところに、納さんの心意気が現れていますね。

コントラバス（ウッドベース）に興味をもったら是非手にとってほしいアルバムです。
