5.0 out of 5 stars 全フロア対応型ダンス・ミュージック, 2006/1/5
ボーカル・ギター・ベース・ドラム＋ホーン(サックス・
トランペット)という編成を基本に、フルートやコントラ
バス、更にはシンセやターンテーブルなど、多種多様
な手段を駆使して、ジャンル分け不能・不要のダンス・
ミュージックを鳴らす６人組。
また面白いバンドが出てきたな、という感じです。

曲の方も、様々な要素が混じり合っていてバラエティ豊富。
ホーンが軽快に跳ねるM-2やエレクトロなM-3、ソウル感
の強いM-6、パンキッシュなM-9などなど、多彩です。

これは幅広い層にアピールできそうな、充実した１枚。
とても初のアルバムとは思えない内容で、今後にも大いに
期待したいところです。

ちなみに、個人的ベストトラックはM-4・11。
ブラックミュージック色濃厚な、最高に心地良い"歌モノ"です。

ロックを基本にレゲエ、パンク、ソウルなど色々をうまく混ぜててカッコイイです。
打ち込み系の音もあり、「SHE HAS NO MELODY」はＵＳのバンド「！！！」みたいで盛り上がります。
CDが気に入ったらライブには絶対行ったほうがいいです。音、パフォーマンスが凄くて、衝撃受けますよ。DIYという精神も感じます。

さすがドーピングパンダの古巣・Niwからのリリースらしく
パーティーバンドの楽しさにあふれています。
その音色はとことんメロウ。
賑やかなホーンセクション、女の子コーラスのスウィートな歌声が花を添え、
「春にはやっぱりこういうのを聴きたくなるよなあ」
という気がします。
それでいて、ソウルフルな曲でもロックチューンでも
素朴な音作りへのこだわりを感じます。
シュガーベイブ「SONGS」を愛する人なら、きっと気に入るのでは？
