レゲエ/ダブを基調としたポップスを聴かせる5人組、bonobos。朝本浩文と共同制作によるセカンド、それに伴うツアー、そしてフジロック出演を経て、発表されるミニ・アルバムは、全曲セルフ・プロデュース。しっかり地に足をつけつつ、でも5センチぐらい浮いちゃってますよアータ、みたいなふわふわ感が気持ちいい。“冬のアルバム”(資料より)というわけで、ピアノやヴァイオリンが冷ややかな空気のように彩るが、ラテンやアフロもあり。バンドがいい状態なのが分かるグッド・ヴァイヴを放つ好盤。 (上田健二) --- 2005年12月号

HAKASE-SUNやZAKなど、「空中キャンプ」以降のフィッシュマンズを
支えていた人脈が多数絡んでいるから、というよりなにより、Vocalの
蔡忠浩の声が非常に佐藤伸治そっくりなせいで、「運命の人」を
フィッシュマンズの未発表曲だと本気で信じてしまいました。

というわけで音楽性は一言で言うとどうしても「フォロワー」という
事になってしまうわけで、オリジナリティなどを評価できるか、というと
難しいし、フィッシュマンズを超えているか、と問われれば返答に
窮してしまうのですが、「運命の人」は秀逸です。
せっかくの良い音楽なので、偉大な先達の記憶抜きにして聞いてあげたい。

はじめ聴いた時はﾌｨｯｼｭﾏﾝｽﾞの新作かとオモイマシタ。
「まて、まて」ト自分を諭し、いまが2005年であることを確認。
しかしそれほど似ている。特に声が。佐藤君の甘くて儚げな感じ。
音のほうも最小に絞ったかのようなスカスカな音世界がただただキモチイイ。
泳ぐようなギター、ゆるいドラム。ゆらゆらとゆらぐ鍵盤。
ゲストも納得の人選。こだまさんにHAKASE−SUNなど。魚男つながりっぽい。
ﾌｨｯｼｭﾏﾝｽﾞがやってたことを咀嚼してｵﾘｼﾞﾅﾙへ昇華してる。ｇｏｏｄ！
あと、ベースが女のコということで更に好印象。素晴らしい。
寝るとき聴いたら安眠できる。ゆるゆるのダブポップを是非。

なんとなく気にしていたボノボの新譜。試聴して聴き惚れて迷わずに購入してしまった。
特に１、２、３が素晴らしい。初めてフィッシュマンズを聴いた時に感じた、この音楽さえあれば他の音楽は必要ないんではないか？というような懐かしい気持ちが蘇った。
だけどまるで違う音。音の拡がりの中に優しさとキラキラした輝きがつまった作品だと思います。
