　原作物がある時、それをいじると大体、そのアニメは失敗する。
　理由は単純。中途半端にいじっちゃうからだ。
　このアニメ、その「中途半端さ」が微塵も無い。
　逆にここまでになると監督と言うより脚本家の腕に全てがかかってきますが、脚本は神山（こうやま）修一さん。
　巌窟王やラストエグザイルの脚本を手がけた事で知られますが、青の６号も彼ですから。
　キャラ個性をどうすれば引き出せるのかを本当に良く分かっておられます。
　スヴェンがクールに決めながらコーヒーを吹きだすなど、実に絶妙です。
　原作ファンの方には御不満があるかもしれませんが、あくまで「別物」として星５個でお願いします。

「アニメ版BLACK CAT」は原作では持ち得なかった雰囲気を補った作品ではないかと思います。

原作の絵柄はキャラクターの等身が高く、クールであるのに対し、アニメ版のそれはキャラクターの等身が低く、よりイノセント（少年っぽく、純心な感じ）なので、原作の雰囲気が好きな方は少なからず抵抗感を抱くかもしれません。しかし、アニメ版がこのような絵柄であるのには理由があります。それは「コミカルとシリアスの振り幅」を大きくするためです。
原作のストーリーはその絵柄の性質もあってか、「コミカル」な部分（主人公たちの日常など）の描写よりも「シリアス」な部分（ナンバーズ関連など）の描写にバランスを置いているので、両者の振り幅があまり大きくありません（ここでいうバランスとは、描写の数のことではなく、その深度のことです）。結果として、原作は作品全体としてクールでシリアスな雰囲気に仕上がっています。
これに対しアニメ版は、原作においてあまり目立たなかった「コミカル」な部分の描写をその絵柄によって際立たせることで、「コミカル」と「シリアス」の振り幅をより大きくし、作品に新たなバランスと雰囲気をもたらしているのです。
そのことが如実に表現されているのがＥＤ映像です。一見、コミカルな音楽にのせて、これまたコミカルな映像が流されているだけのように見えますが、音楽のその詩の内容も、映像のそのストーリーも、非常にシリアスなものとなっていて、「アニメ版BLACK CAT」の持つ、その新たなバランスと雰囲気を実感できるのではないでしょうか。

作品の持つ可能性というものを教えてくれる「アニメ版BLACK CAT」。原作好きな方にも、ぜひ観賞してほしいです。

一話目を見て、これは面白そうだと思った。原作の方が妙に軽い感じがするのに比べて深みがある、シリアスなつくりになっている。ただ、初めはトレインの声にかなり違和感を感じた。ややおちゃらけた感じの声かと思ったのが、意外とマジな声で、あれで原作の方のおフザケキャラクターっぷりを出せるのかと思った。でもまあ、ストーリー全体がシリアスな雰囲気だから（たまにお笑いも出てくるけど）、こんな声でもいいんじゃんと言った感じで、すぐになれた。
まだ全部見てないけど、間違いなく原作以上の出来だ。
