中学生の頃、エキセントリックで変わった歌詞、メロディー、コード進行、そしてあの独特な声に熱狂的に好きでずーっと聴いていました。
そして、十年近く（十年以上？）たった今、このアルバムを手にしました。
彼女の核となる唄のエネルギーが静かに、そしてとても情熱的にたんたんと感動的につづられています。虚飾を排除した、とてもシンプルな音ですが、心象風景が自然と広がっていきます。とても心地よい。
彼女の声は以前よりも憂いをひめ、感傷的だったり、のびやかだったり、心地よいの一言。
唄心とはこういうことかもしれません。
傑作。

歌声・メロディーライン・コード進行・DVDの映像などなど、いろんなところに種ちゃんの個性が感じられました。すっかり自分の世界を持っていると思われる種ちゃんが、今後どのような方向に向かうのか楽しみでもあります。欲を言えば、ジャケットや歌詞カードはもう少し遊んで欲しかったのと、昔のようなもっと元気いい曲があってもよかったのに、と感じました。逆に言えば、そんな冒険しなくても、種ちゃんの世界が感じられる1枚だと思います。

ほの暗い地中から、一点の光を目指して芽を伸ばす
種のような、祈りのような
珠玉の名曲が詰まっています。

十数年間、種ファンやっててよかった〜と
思わせる一枚です。

因みに炭鉱での作業時、
ガスもれなどをチェックする為に、
空気の変化に敏感なカナリヤを連れていくそうですが、
多分、そんな歌？
