ドラマ「王様のレストラン」の主題歌を彼が歌っていたとは…
ドラマもこの曲も大好きだったのですが、当時子供だった私は大きなお店の中からたった一枚のCDをどうやって探せばいいか分からず、結局買えないまま記憶も薄れていきました。
まさか平井さんが歌っていたとは！
しかもこうしてあの大好きだった曲をまた聴けるとは！！

特別平井堅のファンでもなかったのですが、ドラマで聞いたポップスター目当てでこのベスト盤を買ったら意外に良い曲多くてびっくりです。
「キミはともだち」、昔TVで聞いたときはなんとも思わなかったのですがじっくり聞くとすごい良い曲でした。
恋愛を歌った曲は溢れていますが、こんな風に友情を歌ってくれる曲はなかなかありません。
「分かるな、その気持ち。」「自分にもこんな親友が居たら良いな。」と、昔の友達の事等思い出しつつ繰り返し聞いています。

ポップスター、何度聞いてもいいなぁ。
平井堅というとバラードですが、アップテンポの曲も良いじゃないですか！
まだまだマンネリしていない、これからも聞いたことのない平井堅を聞かせてくれそうで、そういう期待も膨らむ一曲ですね。


歌詞カードに一曲一曲コメントがついているので、平井さんの苦労していた時代のコメント読みつつ合わせてCDを聞いたり。
今日は二枚目な気分だな、今日は一枚目聞こうって感じで、買ってからずーっとこのベストアルバム聞いています。
繰り返し聞いて味が出てくるのが、平井さんの曲の良いところですね。

私のように、平井ファンじゃないけど買ってみようかな？と思った方、是非買って下さい！
本当に良い曲いっぱいですから！

平井堅さんの歌好きだけど、毎回シングルやアルバムを買うほどでない私にとっては、シングルを並べただけでも充分、お買い得感がありました。ＤＶＤ付きなのも、うれしいです！ＤＶＤ見ながら聞くと、知らなかった曲でも、映像と共に楽しめて、好きになれました。

いつだったかTVで平井堅がサザン曲についてのエピソードを話していた時、「旅姿六人衆」という曲のイントロのピアノの音を聴いただけで涙が止まらないんだって言っていました。実は僕も同じなのですごい嬉しかったのをおぼえてます。思うのですがやはりそうゆう他人の歌で泣いてしまうような感性を持っていてこそ人を泣かす歌を作れるのではないでしょうか。ちなみに僕の場合彼の「even if」をイントロを聴いただけで眼球に湿り気が発生します。
　最初に彼を知った時、洋楽志向のアーティストと錯覚してしまいましたが、そうではない。日本のポップスの良いところはちゃんと受け継いでいる「歌」重視の人であると思います。彼と彼の作る歌はまさしく「歌バカ」というネーミングそのものだと確信しています。
