いわゆる"キャラゲー"と呼ばれる"原作付き"のゲームは、最初から固定ファンを持っているだけに､キャラクターの人気におもねった、ゲームとしては面白みの無い作品になる率が高いのですが、この作品は、シナリオの質も割と高く、ゲームとしてなかなか楽しめる作品でした。
原作小説の作者がシナリオ監修、同じく挿絵師がグラフィック監修に名を連ねているためか、原作の雰囲気を非常にうまく活かしています。プレイヤーキャラである｢草壁桜｣の一人称視点で物語が語られるし、アニメでは割愛されていた、彼の妄想時に発生する"特殊物質"も登場するなど、同タイトルのOVAより原作の色が濃い作品だと思います。
ゲーム的には5話で構成され、各話に一つミニゲームが用意されています。選択肢やミニゲームの結果によって5人の攻略可能キャラとの親密度を上げ、それぞれに用意されたエンディングに達するという、極めてオーソドックスな内容ですが、どのキャラクターも原作通りの特殊さですので、原作ファンには喜ばれると思います。ゲームオリジナルキャラもとても雰囲気になじんでいますし、グラフィック的にも、パターンは多くないものの、原作挿絵師の絵柄がよく再現されていて楽しめました。
気になったのは、挿入されるアニメーションが全てOVAからの流用だという点。全体に丁寧に作られている作品なのに、この点だけが手抜きと感じられてしまいました。また、主人公と攻略可能キャラ以外に一切音声が無かったのも残念、ザンス、宮本君、南さん、田辺さんが物語のスパイスとして良い味を出しているだけに､彼らにも声が欲しかったと感じました。
流血シーンは抑えられているものの｢18歳以上対象｣というレーティングが納得できるような、ちょっとしたエロ要素もあります。好き嫌いがはっきり分かれる原作なだけに､ついていけない方もいるでしょうが、少なくとも原作ファンなら充分に楽しめるレベルの作品だと思います。

マンガ、小説、ＤＶＤと、まさかゲーム化するとは思わなかった。
どんな、内容かは不安だったが、最終的に買ってよかったと思った。
ゲームの攻略も簡単で、小さいお子様にもぴったり。（小さい子がやってはだめか）題名が、「撲殺」からスタートしてないため、ドクロちゃんを知らない人が見たら、下の「このゲームは暴力表現（以下略）」と「18歳以上推奨」を見て怪訝に思うだろう。なんせ表紙とミスマッチですから。しかし、知らない人でもこのゲームはやりがいがある一品だと自分は思う
