今から５年以上前、大好きだったブライアンの来日公演。そこに登場したのはベースを弾く彼。ベーシストの怪我か？疑問に思ったが、パンフレットにはベースを弾くブライアンの写真が・・・。どれほどショックだったか。彼の音楽は、バッキングとリードのギター２本で表現できるように作られている。それなのに、ギター１本なんて。あるはずの音が、メロディーがそこにはなかった。そしてベースを弾くブライアンはグルーブもない、歌にも感情が入らない、つまらないライブだった。
それからしばらくして、２枚のライブＤＶＤがでた。どれもベースを弾くブライアン・・・それは僕らが愛したブライアンのライブじゃない！！
悲しみの中の数年間だった。
しかし！今回の、このアンソロジーに付いているライブＤＶＤは、ギターを持ったブライアンの、初めての、ライブＤＶＤだ！！！しかも１００分を超えるライブ！
それだけで感動だ！これぞ彼のライブだ！画像がホームビデオで撮られたような感じであっても、逆にその荒々しさが彼らしい。彼の、ギターをかき鳴らしながら力いっぱい歌う姿に心から感動した。ギター２本で、さらにキーボーディストまで戻ってきて、本来の彼の音楽がそこにある。これがブライアンアダムスの本当のライブだ！
戻ってきてくれてありがとう！ブライアン。

ベストCD2枚＋ライブDVD1枚のお買い得感につられて久しぶり
（白状するとReckress以来）にBryanのCDを買いました。
気になるDVDの内容はオイラみたいにReckressで止まっていた人も
十分に楽しめると思います。知らなかった比較的新しい曲もLive
だからか思ったよりRockしているのに加え、Kids wanna rockや、
Summer of 69のライブならではのアレンジはめちゃくちゃカッコイー！
（Heavenはちょっとやりすぎか？という感じもしますが）
ベストCDの曲は持ってるし・・・という人はDVDが充実しているから
「CDがおまけ」という感覚でいかがでしょう？

単にベスト盤なんですが、リマスターの為音が良くなっている事や新しく録音し直したもの等楽しめます。特筆すべきはおまけについてくるDVD。ポルトガルのリスボンのライブをSuper8や16mmで撮ったものです。観客の盛り上がりとBryanのノリがすごくいい。是非オススメの一枚です。
