カエターノの古くからの友人、マリーザ・モンチとは頼れる兄貴分として支えてきたというダヂの初のリーダー作は、徹底的に70'sの音像を描き出すことにこだわった作品だ。確かにその狙いは貫徹されていて、2000年越えして録音されたと分かるのは音質の良さくらいで、あとは実に70年代の香りが充満した作品となっている。ただちょっと不思議なのが、生粋のカリオカであるはずの彼の歌を聴いているとなぜか思い浮かぶのが、フレンチものの感じなんですね。それも軽快でポップなほうのフレンチではなく、ダンディズム溢れるタバコ臭いほうのフレンチ。ゲンズブールとかそんな感じ。そういう男の色気みたいなものが出ているからなのかな。ブラジルものというよりも、すごくフレンチぽさを感じてしまいました。だからきっとエスプリが効いているという言い方がすごく似合っているアルバム。

カエターノ・ヴェローゾ、マリーザ・モンチなどのバンドでベーシストとして裏方に徹していた男の、初の表舞台作品。どんな歌声だろうと思ったら、意外にも甘い声。しかし音はしっかりとして洗練されている。カエターノ、マリーザはもちろんカルリーニョス・ブラウン、ヒタ・リーなど大物ゲスト多数。彼の待望のファーストを喜んでいるのは、誰よりもミュージシャン仲間なのだろう。

CD借りて聴いてみたら、凄く良かったので、買いました!曲のイメージとしては、秋を想わせるような… 日本ではなく、海外の秋…?古めかしい洋画のエンディングに流れてきそうなイメージ。抽象的で、すいません。どのCDショップにも無かったので、何気にお買得だと思います。
