　1982年はRCサクセション〜忌野清志郎の活動が非常に盛んだった一年です。2月に「い・け・な・いルージュマジック」がチャートでトップになったほか、自身のレーベルBARCAを設立、9月から年末までツアー、10月にはアルバム『ＢＥＡＴ ＰＯＰＳ』発表、11月にはどくとる梅津バンドとのコラボレーション・アルバム『ＤＡＮＧＥＲ』を発売・・・・・などなど。
　こうした活発な活動の中、8月7日に横浜スタジアムで行われた歴史的イヴェントがこのイベント" The Day Of R&B "です。偉大なＲ＆Ｂミュージシャンを紹介したいと言う主旨で開催され、サム・ムーアをとチャック・ベリーを迎えてのコンサートとなりました（当初ブルース・ブラザーズバンドを呼ぶ予定だったが都合がつかず、チャック・ベリーに変更になった経緯があり、「あいつを呼んだ覚えはない」とかキヨシローが言ったとかいう噂もあります）。
　なおアルバムは同年12月10日に発売されましたが、その後長く廃盤となっており、このたびめでたくリマスター＆ＣＤ化されました。
　このアルバムは、他の人も書いている通り、あくまでRCサクセションのアルバムを一通り聴いたヒトが手を出すものと思います。特に洋楽に進んでいないヒトには、キヨシローに影響を与えた古いR&Bなんかを聴くのは面白いんではないでしょうか？S.ムーアやC.ベリーのファンのヒトには、演奏がすごくいいわけでもないし、強いては勧めません。
　本CDの一番の不満は、曲が少ないことですね。RCサクセションは僅か3曲で、全体としても1時間程度です。おそらくもっとマテリアルはあるはずです。最後のキメがズレたカッコ悪い"Hold On, I'm Coming"を入れるぐらいですから、いっそのこと"Naked"として完全盤を出して欲しいところです。

長いこと忘れられていましたが、遂にCD化されましたね。おめでとうございます！
RCの歴史を知る上でも、このライブ及びラプソディ・ネイキッドは必須だと思います。
野音とはまた違う、夕暮れの野外の匂いが今にもたちこめてきそうで、大変気持ちイイ・・！
注文があるとすれば、ネイキッドの好評を受けての一連の再発だとは思うのですが、従来通りのフォーマットに固持するばかりで、各アルバムから漏れたシングルB面曲をまめに拾っていく・・とかしないと、いくらリマスターとはいえ、なかなか手が出にくいと思います。従来からのファンは特に。
今だにCD化されていない音源で、まるまる一枚CDが作れますよ？充分に。
そして、その数々の音源達こそが、RCを愛する者の心の琴線を最も刺激するアイテムだったと思うのです。
EPLP２でも３でも構いません。どうぞどうぞ、作ってください。

これはRCのオリジナルアルバム（ライブ盤も含む）を全部持ってる人が手を出していいと思う完全なマニア向けのライブアルバムです。これでRCを初めて聴く人は、ビートルズを初めて聴く人がアンソロジーをいきなり聴くようなものです。
