　事務所から独立して、自由になれたすがすがしさとリラックスした雰囲気と、それまでＰＯＰな曲を歌っていたチャボの個人的な内省な世界を描くのがはじまったアルバムでもあったと思います。チャボのファーストアルバムを聴き、それまでのイケイケなチャボしか知らなかったわたしにとって、ショックな作品でした。チャボのソロライブにも行きましたが、ライブのチャボもアルバムの世界を体現しているかのような感じでした。

　「ＳＫＹ ＰＩＬＯＴ」は、当時アイドルとして人気絶頂だった中森明菜のアルバムに曲が提供され歌詞とアレンジは違いますが、タイトルは「ＳＴＡＲ ＰＩＬＯＴ」という作品でした。清志郎バージョンでの歌詞♪この世界に愛を 愛にチャンスを♪に当時、すごいフレーズだと軽いショックをうけました。せつないラブソング「ぼくとあの娘（こ）」、「海辺のワインディングロード」やエンターテイメントしている、さきほどの「ＳＫＹ ＰＩＬＯＴ」「ＤＲＩＶＥ」「プン・プン・プン」など、ＲＣの多様な歌詞の世界が楽しめます。

　そういえば渋谷陽一氏がＤＪをしていた「サウンドストリート」（略して「サンスト」、ＮＨＫＦＭ）では、それまで新しいアルバムがリリースされると、必ずゲストにチャボと清志郎が一緒に来ていたのに、前作「Ｆｅｅｌ Ｓｏ Ｂａｄ」からは、清志郎１人でのゲスト出演となりました。チャボのファーストのショックと、このアルバムから、清志郎とチャボの間に距離感ができてしまいはじめたようで不安な気持ちになった事を覚えています。

Glory day は素晴らしすぎる。レゲエですが、日本のロック名曲３０の中に入れたいです。仲井戸麗一のボーカルで、初ソロとほぼ同じ時期だったと記憶しています。全体的にまとまったアルバムと思います。

作品としては良くまとまったアルバムだと思います。
いい意味で重さを感じる作品です。
ですが、個々の楽器のバランスやエコーなどのエフェクトの使い方に疑問を感じます。
このＣＤでは最新リマスタリングによってその辺が幾分改善されて聴き易くなっています。
