5.0 out of 5 stars 『ラプソディー』の衝撃に引きずられ・・・, 2009/5/7
初めてRCに触れたのがライブアルバムの名盤『ラプソディー』でした。その後の新作が出るとのことで、一体どんなアルバムが出るのか、物凄い期待と妄想を膨らませて発売を待っていたのを覚えています。高校３年生のときです。

購入前は、ある種、破壊的で強烈なインパクトの楽曲で埋め尽くされているだろうと想像していたのですが、このアルバムを初めて聴いたときの印象は、｢アレ？意外と大人しいな〜」というものでした。ただ、聴けば聴くほど心に染みる、どこか切ない思いにかられる曲が多かった。聴き込んでいくうちに「RCって、すげー大人のバンドなんだな・・・」と静かに感動していました。そして、私が購入前に想像していたイメージは、『ラプソディー』の衝撃に引きずられ、彼らの放つエネルギーの強さを彼らの音楽の根っこと誤解していたのだと、このアルバムで初めて知ったのでした。私はこの後、いよいよ本当にRCを、忌野清志郎を知りたくなって、LP『シングル・マン』を購入しにレコード屋に走りました（ちなみに、『シングル・マン』は若きRCの魂の叫び！表現に困るほどの傑作です！）

10曲目『あきれて物も言えない』、凄みアリ！　サビのフレーズが耳から離れず。
６曲目『Sweet Soul Music』、文句なしにイカしてます。
２曲目『トランジスタ・ラジオ』・・・秀逸、青春の名曲。

五人体制になったＲＣサクセションとして最初のアルバム。永遠の名曲「トランジスターラジオ」を含むシンプルでストレートなロックアルバム。歌われる詩の世界はとてもセンチメンタルで、またそれにふさわしいメロディーが用意されている。いつまでも高校三年生の夏休みが続くような世界観が素晴らしい。

当時は洋楽全盛で日本人のロックなんて聴く気もしないて漢字だったが、このアルバムにであってRCサクセションにのめり込んで行った記念のアルバム。
