akikoさんのカバーアルバム「リトル・ミス・ジャズ・アンド・ジャイヴ」と一緒に買いました。すごいいい選曲で、楽しめます。流石にオリジナルなので、音質やアレンジに古臭いところは当然感じますが、グルーブ感はやっぱりすごい。体が自然に動き始めるし、何回か聞くと自然にメロディーやリズムを口ずさんでしまう楽曲のすばらしさ。やっぱり、いいものはいい、楽しいものは楽しい。こういうのを出すのは勇気あります。すばらしい。

このアルバムと同時にリリースされたakikoのオリジナルアルバム、
「リトル・ミス・ジャズ・アンド・ジャイヴ」が良かったので買いました。

ジャイヴってakikoのアルバムでしか聴いたことがなくて、いまいち
どんなものかわかってなかったのですが、ジャズっぽくて、何となく
耳にしたことがあるような、昔の外国のポップスって言う感じでした。
なつかしい雰囲気の新しい音楽…自然と体が動きます。
1曲目の、「オー・ベイブ!」は思わず笑っちゃうような楽しさ。
こんなにおもしろい音楽があったんだ！と驚きました。

　いかしてる！ロックン・ロールあり、ムーディなポップスあり、ジャジィなスキャットありの、お洒落でファニーな楽曲の数々は、40〜50年代のアメリカを題材にしたハリウッド映画のＢＧＭとして、かって聴いた事があるような錯覚を起こす。最近では、ＦＭ東京の長寿番組「アバンティ」の中で耳にする音楽のようだ。同時期連動して発売の「リトル・ミス・ジャズ・アンド・ジャイヴ」は、休日の午後、ひとりで、ティを飲みつつ、リラックスして聴くのが最適なアルバムだが、今作は、週末に、気の合う仲間たちと、酒を飲みつつ語らう場で、是非とも聴きたいアルバムだ。
