富士見ファンタジア文庫刊･賀東 招二原作｢フルメタル･パニック！｣の
TVアニメ第3弾の第4〜5話を収録したDVDです｡
アニメ第1弾に引き続く形で､原作の長編シリーズ
第4作｢終わるデイ･バイ･デイ｣上下巻を全13話でアニメ化していますが､
序盤の第1〜4話までは完全オリジナルエピソードで構成されています｡
(※いわゆる続編に相当するので､アニメ第1弾全24話の視聴が必須だと思います｡)
　
特に今回収録の第4話｢デイライト｣は第3話｢迷宮と竜｣に続き､
人質救出作戦に挑むミスリルのメンバーが裏切り者の情報漏洩により
ゲイツ率いるアマルガムの部隊に翻弄される所から始まり､
京都アニメーションの芸術的アニメ描写が唸ります｡

冒頭から戦闘のスペシャリスト･マオを完全に圧倒する
夏玉蘭（シャ・ユイラン）の格闘描写が圧倒的です｡
中国服から抜き出すは2本の長剣､回転回し蹴り､サマーソルトキック(！)と
柔軟で華麗な体裁きでたやすく相手を押さえ込む描写に惚れ惚れします｡

そして敵弾を｢燕返し｣のごとくはじき返す夏玉芳（シャ・ユイファン）の
アームスレイブ操作の妙技､大塚芳忠の怪演が光るゲイツvs宗介の巧みな戦闘術のぶつかり､
窮地に落ちいったメンバーを救うべく天才･テスタロッサ大佐の放つ｢クレタ人作戦｣とは？
作画､演出､シナリオと誰が観ても｢おっ？｣と目を見張る･魅せる要素に富んでいます｡
初回限定版のみの5.1chサラウンド仕様も相まって､
TVアニメながら劇場版クオリティーで展開されるミリタリーアクションの傑作に脱帽です｡

フルメタ、フルメタふもっふからずっと見てるけどやっぱりフルメタは最高っすね。今回の作品も私なりにはかなりお勧めです。通常版よりこっちを買うべきですね。
