　日本盤の帯には「デビュー・アルバムから25周年を迎えた永遠のロックンローラー。　2枚組・全37曲、究極のベスト・アルバムが登場！」とあるが、先行発売の英国盤と米国盤では仕様が違い、日本盤は英国盤を採用している。　米国盤の宣伝文句には「初めてのキャリア全般にわたる2枚組コレクション。　既発33曲と新録音3曲 ”18 Til I Die”（リスボンでのライヴ録音）、”When You’re Gone”（歌手デビューとなるPamela Andersonをフューチャー）、”So Far So Good”を収録。　各曲が新たにデジタル・リマスターされ優れた音。」、そして「リスボンでライヴ録音された未発表のフル・コンサートのボーナスDVDが限定で付属」とある。　

　具体的な違いは、英国盤はカナダ出身の女優（プレイ・ボーイ嬢）Pamelaとの新録音を外し、SPICE GIRLSのMelanie Cとのヴァージョン（98年全英3位）を収録。　また、米国盤のThis Side Of ParadiseとWhy Do You Have To Be So Hard To Loveに替えてAll I Want Is You（91年全英8位）と新曲I’m Not The Man You Think I Am（映画COLOR ME KUBRICKの挿入歌）を収録。　ボーナスとしてDon’t Give Up（CHICANEとの共作で98年全英1位）が追加されたが、逆にDVDはなし。

　カナダと国境を接する世界最大の音楽市場米国と大西洋を隔てるものの同じ英連邦で90年代後半以降の不遇の時代を支えた英国。　それぞれの国でヒット曲も違い、英国ファン向けに仕様を変更するのは納得できるし大賛成。　一方、日本のユニバーサル殿はどうか？　DVDを分売して2度儲けようという機転は効くのに、日本のファン向けには何もなし。（例えば英米盤から漏れたDo I Have To Say The Words（92年11位）やKids Wanna Rockを収録するとか…）　最後に欲を言えばソング・ライターとして他人に提供した曲にも脚光を当てて欲しかったが、2枚組の制約を考えると現時点の決定版であることは否定できない。　日本盤には英語のブックレットと日本語解説・英文解説訳・曲ごとの解説・歌詞・対訳付きで音質も良い。

このアンソロジーで初めてブライアンアダムスを聞いたのですが、よかった！！落ち着いた感じのもあれば、ロックなのもあって。一度も聞いたことがなくて買ったけど、アタリでした〜↑毎日聴いてます♪

BAを聴いたことがない、という人にはいいでしょう。
これだけ買えば前のベスト２枚は要りませんから。
逆に"Please forgive me"も"Best of me"も持っている人には必要ありません。
新曲２曲はそれだけのために買うとがっかり。
今回初めてデフレパードと似ているというのがわかりました。
