EAST ASIAがこれまで私の中での最高傑作でした。誕生と二隻の舟と糸が聞けるだけでもその価値ありと思っていましたが、今回の転生は最近のアルバムにちょっと欲求不満を募らせていた私にはホントに朗報アルバムでした。特に我が祖国は風の彼方、命のリレー、無限軌道。我が祖国は夜会で一番印象に残った曲で期待を裏切らないCD化。無限軌道では特に夜会では歌われなかった（記憶は確かでないのですが、すくなくとも私にとって初めて聞くフレーズ）。「誇らしくもなく、珍しくもなくふつうの暮らしの一日のように、ある朝・・・永遠をゆく鉄道の客となって」の一節でノックダウンされました。銀河鉄道の夜を読み直してみよっと。

私は夜会に行った後に購入しました。こちらで多くの方が述べられているように、私自身、移籍前の中島みゆきの独自のSoundsが好きですので、100%受け入れられるものではありません。瀬尾さんのアレンジは確実に売れますが、彼女の持ち味を殺しかねないと思います。私は今でも、「予感」以前の彼女のアルバムが好きです。こういったファンは少なくないと思います。しかし、「EastAsia」にある「誕生」と「2艘の船」、あといくつかここ数年での名作もあります。そろそろレコード会社の言いなり(?)から、彼女の好きなものに戻ってもいいのではないかと思います。それだけのキャリアと力量のある歌い手・作詞家であると私は思っております。
このアルバムは夜会の感動を維持するにはとてもいいと思います。とてもやさしく、暖かで、心に響きます。ただ、依然として昔はもっと良かったという重いはぬぐいがたいです。

これまでの中島みゆきのアルバムの中でもかなり異質なアルバムです。
恋愛の曲が1曲も入ってないというだけでも珍しい作品だと思います。
そして傑作！！

中島みゆきのライフワークとも言える公演『夜会』の2004年の演目「24時着0時発」で発表された曲の中から11曲をニューレコーディング収録。
これまで夜会で発表された曲は、1演目の中で数曲のみをピックアップしてオリジナルアルバムやWINGSシリーズ収録されてきたが、
1枚丸ごと全部が1公演の曲というのは今作品が初めて。
「じゃあ24時着0時発のサントラアルバム？」と思われるかも知れませんが、そこは中島みゆき、
単なるサントラアルバムの枠に収まりきらない壮大な作品に仕上がってます。
殆どの曲に2番の歌詞が追加され、夜会を観てない方にも十分伝わるようになってます。
舞台上で目玉だった曲を11曲集めたのではなく、わざと小品曲を混ぜてアルバムの山谷を上手く作っているところが職人ですね。
「命のバトン」からの流れ、特に「サーモン・ダンス」〜「無限・軌道」の流れはたまらないです！！
ぜひ全曲リピートで何度も聴いてみてください。
アルバム自体がメビウスの帯（転生）になってますよ。

元気が出る、また明日から頑張ろう！という気にさせてくれる1枚です。
