エモ系のポストロックと評されていますが批判覚悟で言うと、後期Elliottにエレクトロニカ色を加味して歌を省いた感じで、Appleseed Castにも似てます。高揚感はあるけどなんか取って付けたようで、煮え切らない部分もちらほら。「エモ」として聞くなら個人的には断然前述のバンドのほうですね。

　ペンシルヴァニアの5人組、Saxon Shoreの3rd。とにもかくにもこのメロディセンス！全編を通じ、大胆かつ繊細に琴線涙腺を刺激する豊かな情感の音因子は「素晴らしい」の一言。

　脳裏に柔らかな光を射し込むキーボードの旋律が、眩暈を起こしそうに美しいフィードバックノイズとともにクレシェンドし、凄まじい量感のひしゃげたディストーションギターとともに空間に満ち満ちていくTr.4"Silence Lends a Face to the Soul"、力強く胎動するピアノラインと一抹のエレクトロニカが織り成す潮騒、歓喜の光源を形成するハイハットにより昇りつめた先で、往年のヘヴィロックバンドを思わせる豪快なリフが轟く"Isolated by the Secrets of Your Fellow Men"、そして今そこで鳴っている楽器、その全てが心の琴線を鷲掴みにする"How We Conquered the Western World on Horseback"での圧倒的なノスタルジア、、、

　プロデューサーは音の魔術師、David Fridman。繊細なインストゥルメンタルの感触はそのままに、眩く光り輝く音が力強く吹き荒れる独自の音世界はやはり最高。アクセシビリティが物凄く高いこの作品、普段よく見させてもらっている音楽サイトのいくつかでかなり低い評価がされていたのは、たぶん「ポストロック」として捉えているから！？新しいことは何もしていないけれど、こんなにも人を奮わせるメロディ・構成を伴った楽曲群に、個人的には歓喜しました。お薦めの作品です。

かつてないほどギターが鳴り響く大傑作。
基本路線は今までと同じだと思ってもらってかまいませんが、
いわゆる轟音ギターテイストが強い印象を受けます。
一曲目からがつんときます。（さすがにそこまで轟音でもないですが。）ラストはかなりガシガシに轟音！！
リズムもタイトな感じの曲が多いですね。
過去の作品同様、微妙な高揚感、浮遊感は健在。
感情に直に響いてくる感じです。

ほかの作品もすばらしいのでそれぞれ参考にして
手にとってもらえればなんて思います。
