待ちに待ったWar Childのチャリティー・アルバム発売された。普段のWar Childは毎月ダウンロードオンリーで５組ぐらいのレアな曲を提供して、アフリカ等の孤児や飢餓で苦しむ子供を助ける活動資金を集めいる。そして今回は特別な企画でダウンロードはもちろんCDもリリース（この団体は以前も良いメンツが参加して何枚かコンピのCDを出ている）。今回のチャリティーアルバムに参加しているメンツはRadiohead, Gorillaz, Razorlight, Manic Street Preachers, Babyshambles, Kaiser Chiefs, Go! Team, Bloc Party, Mylo, Tinariwen, The Zutons, Maximo Park, Magic Numbers, Keane, Hard-Fi, Emmanuel Jal, Elbow, Damien Rice, The Coral, George & Antony and last not but least Coldplayの２２組と凄く良いメンツが揃っている。
しかもかなりのバンドが前日に録音したらしく入ってる曲も未発表やカバーが中心で普段は絶対聴かないであろうアーティストも入っているが凄く楽しめる内容だった。コンピとしてはとてもお勧めな１枚。

現在の UK ミュージックシーンを彩る参加アーティストです。

参加アーティストは

　Damien Rice（新曲）
　Elbow
　The Go! Team（新曲）
　Gorillaz
　Hard-Fi
　Kaiser Chiefs（新曲）
　Keane（Elton John の Goodbye Yellow Brick Road のカバー）
　The Magic Numbers
　Manic Street Preachers
　Maximo Park
　Mylo
　Radiohead
　Razorlight
　The Zutons
　（Producer: Mark 'Spike' Stent）

Belle & Sebastian、Damien Rice、The Go! Team と Kaiser Chiefs はこのアルバムのために新曲をレコーディング、Keane はかねてからその存在については言われていた Elton John のカバーを提供。

マニックスと Radiohead は10年前に続いての参加ですね。

　コールドプレイの１曲目から、「おいおい、全然本気じゃん！」というムードで、もうレディオヘッドのトラックでは「おかえり！トム！」ってな感じだし、ゴリラズのデーモンは若かりしころのアル中っぷりを再現して・・・もう言うことなしです。１０年前に一度warchaildのコンピを手にしている方はもちろん必聴！！！今の１０代、２０代にも、現役で今なお活躍している老舗イングランドバンドの底力を感じて欲しい。とにかく聴いて！
