スウィンギー・ポップなる魅惑的なギミックで2005年1月にデビューし、音楽シーンに一石を投じた彼女の今年を締めくくる一枚。これまでの彼女といえば、ジャンゴ・ラインハルトを彷彿とさせる弦楽器を中心とした小編成で活動を行なってきたわけだが、本作は、ライヴなどで多々披露されてきたビックバンド、つまりブラスを含んだ編成でレコーディングされている。新曲を4曲、そして人気を博した過去の作品4曲をビックバンド・アレンジにし、さらにプロモーション・ビデオを含む11曲を収録。キャッチには、“dorlisからのウィンター・ギフト”とあり、まさにパーティ・チューン目白押しのハッピーなアルバムに仕上がっている。シックでエレガントな装いが彼女の魅力だと思われがちだが、ビックバンドをバックに控えても際立つ存在感は本質的な意味でエンタテイナーとしての技量を感じてならず、自信たっぷりジャジィでポップなサウンドは、リスナーの心にグッと艶をもって迫ってくるのである。 (石塚 隆) --- 2005年12月号

ジャズのフルバンドをバックにした女性ボーカルで、クリスマスらしいゴージャス感もありながら、スイングのノリとは違う、すごく新しい音楽です。1曲目はとてもいい曲と思いますが、ボーカルがバンドのリズムにあっているような、あっていないような、確かに合っていないけど合ってるような不思議なかんじになります。発声もジャズボーカルの粘るスイングや、いわゆる「ウイスパー・ボイス」みたいな歌い方とも違う、ジャズアルバムをかけながら目の前で友達が歌ってくれている、というような感覚です。とにかく聴いてみていただきたい、クセになる音楽です。

聞いているだけで年末のパーティーを連想するような
華やかなアルバムです。
歌い方も以前よりも格好良い感じで。
Liveに行ったことがある方はLiveバージョンもとても感動できるのではないでしょうか。
ジャケットも、初回版だけかもしれませんが、
メッセージカード付きなので、プレゼントにも最適ですね。
特に
雪のライスシャワー、ダブルエージェント
はおすすめ！
PVもすごくかわいくって素敵です。
特に最後はあまりに綺麗でびっくり、感動しました！

ジャズに分類されることが多いdorlisですが、このアルバムはビッグバンドをしたがえた極上のロックです！
新曲、特に２曲目のスピード感はたまりません。
後半に収録されている既発表曲の別テイク（ライヴ等）も、巷にありふれたリミックス等ではなく、同じ曲でもアレンジを変えればこんなに違う雰囲気になるのか！と驚かされます。
個人的にはマリポーサのライヴヴァージョンにノックアウトされてしまいました。
