とにかく懐かしいです。中学生の頃、土曜日は学校が終わると一目散に家路を急ぎ、TVにかじりついて藤山寛美さんの舞台をみていました。日本人が忘れてはいけない人情や心を、お芝居を通して自然に学んだように思います。ビデオの存在は知っていたけど、DVDはファンにとって夢にまでみた話です。18番箱の中でも「下積みの石」は大のお気に入り。可笑しくて、せつなくて、泣けてしまいまう。もう何度も繰り返して見ましたが、子供の頃にみた内容でも、今見だから理解できる大人の機微もあり、少しも古さを感じません。大人も子供も各々の目線で一緒に見ることのできる藤山寛美さんの演技は最高。真の芸人さんです。

中座やテレビでリアルタイムに見てきた舞台を再び見ることができる懐かしさで一杯。単なる笑いだけではなく、その後に来る感動がまた素晴らしい。今から見れば多少の時代のズレはあるとしても、今では失われてしまった人情や心の機微などがまだ残っていた時代の貴重な遺産のような気がする。改めて見ると役者一人一人が本当に芸達者で、その意味では稽古で培われた非常に緻密な舞台であることを伺わせる。しかし、その一方で、藤山寛美と伴心平や千葉蝶三郎との絶妙なセリフの間やアドリブは絶品である。温かい笑いと心を求めたい人には必見の作品である。

初めて納得のいく内容のDVDに出会いました。昔からお笑いは好きで良く見ていましたが、このDVDはその時代を如実に物語る寛美さんのアドリブが見ものでもあります。時代を超えた笑いとユーモアとセンスは笑いを極めた人間でしか出すことの出来ない珠玉の名作集といえます。
十八番シリーズの親ばか子ばかと幸助餅は何度見ても感動します。
主演の寛美さんもさることながら、脇を固める役者達との一体感は松竹新喜劇ならではのものがあり、役者魂を感じさせます。
