   歌に関しては、メリー・クリスマスはたくさんの言い方で、たくさん口にされてきた。ダイアナ・クラールの『Christmas Songs』は特に個性があるわけではないが、休日の1枚に加える価値はある。ここで彼女はずっと以前に確立されたアプローチを超えてみせている。とても聞き慣れたラインナップにちょっぴりしゃれた感覚を加えて、上品に歌っている。中には彼女のスタイルは温かみがないと思うこともあるかもしれないが、クリスマスの甘ったるい雰囲気の中、自分の歌うクリスマス・キャロルでお祭り騒ぎをしようとしながら、充分成熟した曲調にはできないアーティストたちの中では安らぎに思えることだろう。そしてクラールは、遊び心のある面を少々個人的なタッチを加えて披露してもいる。「Winter Wonderland」ではカナダ式に浮かれ騒いでおり、本国では微笑みを引きだすことだろう（これはつまり、カナダのモルソン・ビールで乾杯と言う意味だろうか？）。他のどこでもなく、「Jingle Bells」を最後にもってきた彼女。ガーリッシュな笑い声で“私はただ馬が大好き”だと語っている。そう……その点に異論はない。（Leah Weathersby, Amazon.com）

タイトル通りに、お馴染みのクリスマス　ソングをずらりと並べ、正面からクリスマス　アルバムの決定盤を狙った様な力のこもった一枚です。
バックは実力的にNO1と言っていい、クレイトン　ハミルトン　ジャズ　オ-ケストラを核として、様々なゲストを交え、一曲一曲実に丁寧に作られています。興味深いのは、クリスマスだからといって、POPな色彩を意識することなく、寧ろ、久々の本格JAZZアルバムの重量感をもっている事、例えばお馴染み「ホワイト　クリスマス」は、彼女自身がアレンジを担当、絶妙なジャズ　フィ-リングが前面に出て何とも素晴らしい。確かに本格的なJAZZのクリスマスアルバムは、過去に少なかったと感じました。この作品を聴いて、JAZZの魅力、彼女　ダイアナ　クラ-ルに虜になる一枚だと思います。

誰でも知っているクリスマスソングを次から次へと，ジャズ・アレンジでしかもDiana Krallの歌声で聞かせてくれるCD．John Claytonのアレンジが冴えていて気持ちいい．9曲目の「White Christmas」はDiana Krall単独のアレンジ．バックのジャズオーケストラも素晴らしい．Diana Krallをクリスマスソングの観点から鑑賞するのもよし，クリスマスソングからJazzに入るのにもよい一枚．

Have yourself a merry little...の曲が他の彼女のクリスマスアルバムで過去出ているが、あれを聞いて彼女の声と歌い方であればもっと代表的な曲を多く歌えばもっと売れるのでは？と思っていた中で発売されたこのアルバム。これぞ自分が望んでいたものだった。それでも上記にあるHave yourself...は自分のお気に入り。夜灯りを落とし、クリスマスツリーの灯りがチカチカしているのを見つめながら、ブランデーと生チョコを食べながら聞くと一層クリスマス気分に浸れます！
