それでこそ、日フィルの芸術シリーズやらがあるのに、お世辞にも巧いとは云えないこのコンビにやらせるんだから、ナクソスも酷いものだ。ともかくオケが苦しすぎる。安価レーベルの痛いところか。だが湯浅卓雄センセは、かなりの名演(例えば芥川也寸志のエローラ交響曲)を生み出している。う-ん安価レーベルって面白いなぁ。ヤヴロンスキーもロシア・フィルも、プロ集団に違いないかもしれない。その証拠に、早坂文雄の作品集はまぁ悪くはなかった(大して良くもなかったが)。

だけどねぇ、タプカーラ交響曲を聴いても分かると思うが、テンポ設定がおかしいし、アンサンブルが乱れすぎだし、一言で云えば、「失格」。SF交響ファンタジーは、結局は映画音楽が元だから、ロシアの強い金管でカヴァーしてるんだろうなーと思うだろうが、そうではない。テンポがおかしいのもそうだが、金管が無駄に主張しすぎで馬鹿らしい、失笑もの。いらんところで鳴り響き、必要なところで鳴らない。駄目々々じゃん！そしてリトミカ・オスティナータ。それでこそ、現代日本の音楽名盤選5で若杉弘先生が誰も超える事が出来ない名演を生み出したのに、このコンビがやるか。20世紀少年のヤン坊・マー坊の言葉を借りれば、「それは勇気と云わず、無謀と云うんだよ」である。いや、確かに悪くはない、良くもない、良いのはピアノぐらいなもの。オケの鳴り方は変だし、最後はなんかピロピロして終るし。駄目だこりゃ。

伊福部昭にはユーラシア大陸の血が脈打っていたに違いない。この北海道にいた無名の作曲家に初めて評価を与えたのはロシアの作曲家チェレプニンであった。そしてこのCDで演奏するのは、ロシア・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団。指揮はドミトリ・ヤブロンスキーだ。まさに伊福部昭のダイナミズムをあますところなく表現した演奏である。

さらにこのCDで嬉しいのは、片山杜秀による伊福部昭と収録曲についての12ページにわたる日本語による解説である。これを読めば、伊福部昭とは何者だったのか、そしてその音楽に込められた秘密の一端を垣間見ることができる。（yoc/カルト・ミュージック・コレクション）
