　たくさんの仲間や大人達に囲まれているメモルと「このまま死んでしまってもよかった」と呟く孤独な少女マリエル。美術だけでなく、友情やふれあいの大切さについて真摯に語ってくれるストーリーも魅力的です。

　マスターは１６ミリだそうですが、ＬＤよりもフィルム独特の質感があります。ライナーのインタビューを読むと、第１話の制作がある意味でアクロバティックだったことがわかり、別な視点で驚きがあります。

　ＣＧ全盛の今、テレビでこういう作品を見ることはもうないでしょう。

●放映当時、幼稚園児でした。小さい頃すごく好きでBSで再放送の時、大人になって見てもすごく作品の暖かさを感じました。やわらかいタッチの名倉さんの絵の力でしょうか、２０年前の古さなんて感じません！リルル星人たちの行動を見ていて思わず笑みです。マリエルの可憐さ、今でも覚えています。見た人はきっと主題歌を口ずさまずにはいられません。購入したのでじっくり見たいと思います。日々疲れてる方にぜひ見て欲しいです。★☆今回、ＬＤBOXにも収録されなかったという劇場版も初収録というこ事ですごく楽しみなBOXです。

LD発売からかなり経ちました、やっと発売です！
可愛いキャラクター、ホンワカとしていながら、ちょっとハラハラするストーリー
そして感動、子供が見ても大人が見ても思わず引き込まれる作品です。
今回は特典でLD-BOX未収録のOVA『マリエルの宝石箱』も収録されます。
当時見ていた人はもちろん、見たことが無い人もぜひ見てみることをお勧めします。
個人的にはマリエルの髪型が刈り上げなのかどうか、再度確かめたいですw
