ことベスト盤に関して、曲云々するのはばかげている。
曲はいいのに決まっている。
購入を躊躇するのは、音の善し悪しである。
LP時代、ベスト盤でいい録音に当たったことはなかった。
どれも音は引っ込んだ感じで、物足りない。
ところが、最近のベスト盤はどうやら違うようだ。
「CDもなかなかやる」と思わせる好録音もある。
これなんかも、まさにそうだ。
しかも20曲あって、2000円を切る。
非常に満足度が高い。

　雑誌で「アルバート・アイラーが好きだったら聴くのは当然だよ。」というあるミュージシャンの発言を目にして聴いてみたのですが、これがとんでもない衝撃。当時の年齢からは考えられないような情念をも感じさせる凄みのある歌声で、一語一語が強く痛烈に心に響いてきます。適度にタメを効かせた演奏も素晴らしく、寂しげなトランペットと艶かしいサックスもいい味出してて涙なくしては聴けません。

今までレコードを聞いていた。なんというかＣＤの時代の歌手ではないと思っていたところがある。あれは現象だったと思っている。ツエッペリンを見に行った同じ会場に藤圭子を見にいくことがあるなんて夢にも思わなかった。その後演歌のレコードを買ったことはない。「オートマチック」で実に似た声の歌手がいると本気で思った。正面からの誰が言ったかわからないけど「一松人形」の雰囲気の写真が一番好きである。５千万ほどのお金の出所に白痴丸出しの答弁を聞いてもまた別の話である。そういう意味では少年マガジンの表紙が懐かしい。
