「新 必殺仕置人」のDVDが欲しいけれど、3枚組のお得なBOXセットにするか、名作の誉れ高いラスト2作を収録した単品にするか、悩む方も多いのではないかと思います。
私も悩んだ方ですが、こちらのBOXセットを購入して正解だったと思います。「新仕置人」はストーリーもいいですが、なんといってもキャラクター同士のウィットに富んだ会話が魅力。筋立てはそれほどでもない話でも、ほんの数秒のやりとりがたまらなく面白い場面がはさまっていたりします。「名作の回」ばかりを選んでしまうと、こういうのを見逃してしまいますからね。もちろんお財布との相談ではありますが、制作費ばかりが膨大なハリウッド映画のDVDと比較して「高い」と考えるのはちょっと間違い。手もとにおいて損はありません。
それにしても山崎努さん、今はどちらかというと渋めの役柄が多いですが、この「仕置人」（特に「新」）の頃のセクシーさには正直、圧倒されます。横顔の美しさ、長い手足、心地よい低音の声、鉄っつあんはどんなムチャクチャをやっても格好良さが全然崩れませんね。「新仕置人」ファンとしてだけではなく、山崎ファンとしても永久保存の価値ありなDVDです。特にこのBOXに入っている「宣伝無用」は鉄マニアには絶対はずせない一作。

　終盤に入っても作品の魅力は衰えることがない。緊迫した密室劇「牢獄無用」，光と影のコントラストが見事な「幽霊無用」，鉄が珍しい人情味を見せる「宣伝無用」，人生の哀感を漂わせる「自害無用」と「生命無用」等珠玉の名作ぞろい。「寅の会」という設定を最後まで見事に活かし切っており，最終二部作の「愛情無用」と「解散無用」はもはや伝説となった解説無用の大感動作。ファンの勝手な思い込みといってしまえばそれまでだが，「新仕置人」は人生観すら変えたと言っていい。キャスト，ストーリー，スタッフ，ＢＧＭすべてが文句なしの最高傑作である。

星が５つしかないのは残念。本当は無限大です（笑）ＢＯＸ三巻そろえましたが、一通り見た後、即１話から見直したくなるほど。皆さん語るように、「解散無用」での主水の殴りこみシーンの台詞といい、清水鉱治氏演じる同心諸岡に対峙し、大上段からぶった切る殺陣といい、最高のかっこよさです。しびれます。惜しむらくは　鉄演じる山崎努氏が後半になると「祭りばやし」出演のため、坊主頭が長髪になってしまうことですが、そんなことは微々たることで、確かにこれを観てしまうと、「仕事人」シリーズ（特に４以降）は、いかに××かと（笑）
