   大いに惜しまれていた「アンプラグド」シリーズ復活をMTVが決めたが、この番組にはある種の義務が生まれた。誰が番組で取り上げられようと、真摯な熱気、グラミー賞にノミネートされるような熱気を届けて当然となった。“力強い”と形容されるアーティストとしては、アリシア・キーズ以上にふさわしい者はいなかった。この首尾一貫したセットは暖かみと、誠実さに満ち、力強く束縛を捨て去っている。ここでキーズは彼女が新たなアレサ・フランクリンではないとしても、負けないくらい力と才能のあるアーティストだとリスナーを納得させる。ここに収録されたヒットナンバーの中で、ダンサブルな「Karma」がファンキーな「Heartburn」となり、圧倒的な華のある「Unbreakable」となる。「Fallin'」「If I Ain't Got You」「You Don't Know My Name」もそのあとに収録されているが、キーズの熱心なファンでも、有名な曲ばかりを追うことを思わず忘れそうな曲が点在している。

   たとえば、プリンスの「How Come You Don't Call Me」は遊び心のある仕上がりで、オーディエンスを意識した軽い調子で、“楽しさを提供する”ことを確かに約束してくれる。そしてこの曲でのデュエットは驚くほどうまくいっており、キーズはマルーン5のアダム・レヴァインに勝とうとする意識を捨てている。悲しげで、ピアノが叩きつける、ヒップホップ風（神出鬼没で強調される“アンー”）、劇的に詩的に語る部分でさえも適切な位置に入れられて、キーズは達人ならではのセンスでその歌にふさわしいさじ加減を加えている。バンドも効いているし、アレンジも冴え渡り、ゲスト陣の特にモス・デフとコモンが、一瞬たりとも自分を出し過ぎることなく曲を完璧なものにしている。最高の“アンプラグド”の1枚はリスナーに、アーティストたちがアンプを蹴り倒してくれるように願わせるものだ。これもそうした1枚だ。（Tammy La Gorce, Amazon.com）

早速、今日届いた国内版を聞いてみました。

1曲目の歌声を聴いた瞬間から、16曲目の終わりまで捕らえて放さない「何か」が、このアルバムのなかにはありました。

プレイヤーから聴こえてくるAlicia Keysの歌声の凄さ、素晴らしさは言うに及ばないが、それだけではなく、その場の雰囲気までも伝わるある種の凄さ、素晴らしさにただ圧倒されるだけでした。

国内版にはボーナス・トラックとして"Goodbye"と"Butterflyz"が収録されていますし、内容的にはもちろんのこと、値段的にも、非常にお得で大満足な一枚です。

１ｓｔアルバムでグラミー賞を掻っ攫いまくり、２ｎｄでもその存在感、資質を如何なく発揮した才女アリシア･キーズ。ついにアンプラグド登場です。
もともとピアノ伴奏で歌う彼女にはピッタリののこの企画。かつて数々のミュージシャンが参加したアンプラグドですが、アリシアのこのアルバムはアンプラグドという魅力と彼女自身の魅力が合わさりまくって素晴らしいできになっていると思います。
まるでライブを見ているような臨場感、そして聞き入れば聞き入るほどに安定感のある歌唱力。そしてこのヴァイブス！！まさしくライブアルバム。
どこかオーガニックでで温かみのある「アンプラグド」という企画。
そして続々と登場するゲスト達。コモンを始め、モスデフ、そしてジャミアン‘ジュニアゴング”マーリー。彼らのヴァイブスも合わさってまるでジャムっているような、その場の雰囲気や即興を楽しんでいるような彼女。
あー、よかった。
Damianの新曲「jam rock」もアリシアの手にかかればこんな風になるのかと二度驚きました。
とにかく、天才！！まあしくディーヴァ。これは買っておいて損はないです。

　ついに発売決定！うれしいです。当初夏に発売予定だったこのCDは、現在のR&B界の頂点に立つAlicia KeysのMTVアンプラグド・ライブの模様を収録したものです。かつてスティービー・ワンダーやベイビーフェイス、マライア・キャリーなど数多くのトップアーティイストが行ってきたMTVアンプラグドライブは、電子楽器を一切使うことのないシンプルなアコースティックライブとして人気を博しましたが、反面、そのシンプルであるためにアーティストの真の実力が露骨に出てしまうために、このライブを行えるアーティストが減ってしまったためでしょうか？3年間もストップしていました。しかしピアノを主体とし、ソウルフルに歌い上げる彼女の音楽性にはぴったりのライブで、彼女本人のたっての希望により再開、通常のライブ盤以上の企画盤として発売されます。
　気になる収録内容は2ndアルバムからの楽曲を中心に、このCDからの1stシングルとなるunbreakable、maroon5のアダムとのデュエット曲、コモンをフューチャーした楽曲などライブ音源あり、未発表曲、新曲ありとかなり濃密な内容になっています。個人的には名曲If I ain't got youや、You don't know my nameがどのように料理されるのか楽しみ！ちなみにUS盤などにはDVDが付いた特別盤が発売予定ですが、CCCD仕様なので…、このDVDはおそらく11月に発売されるDVDで補えるので、個人的にはこの二つを購入しようと考えています。
