『アメイジング・グレイス』、
凄く素敵なミニ・アルバムだけど、
ワイドショーで流れていたのが
記憶に残ってしまってあまり聴けていません・・・
（悲しい映像と共に本作が流れていたので・・・）
特に、ＤＶＤでのライブ映像
「アメイジング・グレイス」は、
鳥肌が立つほどの
素晴らしい歌声を聴かせてくれているのですが・・・
（やばい、涙が出てきた・・・）
アイドル時代のパンチのある歌声とは違って、
大きくて、優しくて、包み込まれる様に、
美奈子さんの歌の世界へ導かれていきます。
本当に、綺麗な歌声です！！
フル・アルバムも欲しいけど、
今は悲しすぎて聴けないかな・・・

私は本田美奈子．のアイドル時代しか知らなかった。
白血病で亡くなって初めて彼女のアメイジング・グレイスを聴いた。
彼女よりうまいソプラノ歌手はいるだろう。
しかし彼女の歌声には鬼気迫るソウル(魂）がある。
もちろんそれは、この曲を収録したあと闘病生活に入り、
帰らぬ人となった、という“情報”も影響しているかもしれない。
しかし、おそらくそれがなくとも私はこのＣＤとＤＶＤを聴いて泣いたと思う。
とくに、ピアノ伴奏一本で歌われるＤＶＤ。
あくまで澄んだ歌声には、ある種の「覚悟」すら感じる。

歌番組ではあまり見る事がなくなった彼女。題名の無い音楽会で時折聞かせてくれた素晴らしい声量と優しい歌声。

歳を重ねていくほどピュアになっていく様に感じていた。「歌う事の喜び、歌える事の幸せ。」インタビューを受ける彼女は
「嫌な事は無かった。今、歌えるから」そう答えていた。輝く笑顔が思い出される。

アメイジング･グレイス、つばさが耳に残る。このＤＶＤでの「白鳥」は彼女の旅立ちを思わせる様な映像と歌詞。

残念だったけれど、歌を聴く度にあのピュアな笑顔と｢歌えるのが幸せ」だと言って歌う歌声がいつも思い出される。きっと永遠に。
