私は決して熱心なファンではないが『本作を買って、なおかつ満足できる人』はかなり限られた支持者と思う。つまり、攻殻機動隊のDVDを全て集めたい人限定。

DVDは3つのパート。１．オープニング映像とその解説・裏話。２．タチコマ製作の解説・裏話。３．声優へのインタビュー。後者2つは時間稼ぎのためかなり無理やり作った感がする。1つ目は資料として興味深いが、同時期に出た「笑い男総集編DVD」特典Discに入れてもいいような短さ。これだけのために購入することをお薦めはできない。

BOOKも資料として確かに悪くはないが、作画用の素材を集めただけでやっぱりかなり限定した人向け。

もう少し価格を安くするか、ここの映像は特典Disc等に回すべきかと。

DVDと、資料集というべき書籍がセットでこの価格なのだから、
多くは望めないとは言うものの、DVDは明らかにボリューム不足。
本はというと、「笑い男」「個別の11人」のみ抽出したストーリー解説部分で、
ライターの方の理解度が低く、解釈の間違っている箇所も見受けられ、
本編を繰り返し見てストーリーを熟知しているファンにとっては、
特に目新しい情報もなく価値があるとは言えない。
大半をしめるキャラ紹介&装備品等の設定と、神山・押井両監督のインタビューは貴重だが、
そのためだけにこの値段を出しても良い、と思える人以外にはおすすめしにくい。

内容の割合は６０％：セットになってる本、３５％：スタッフインタビュー、５％：ＯＰ集・その他　という感じなので、
ＳＡＣのＤＶＤや書籍を集めきり、本編を楽しみきってしまって、
裏側をもっと知りたい、という人向けです。
１回見れば、あとは部屋に飾っておくだけかもしれません…

が、逆に言えば、裏側を見たい人には結構おすすめです。
個人的に神山監督の、ＯＰの制作秘話は楽しめました。

初めにも描きましたが、この商品の半分以上は本です。
ディスクの特典で本がついている、というよりは、
本の特典でディスクがついているという感じです。
ちなみに本の中身は、ちょっと詳しいキャラクター紹介でした。
名前の通り「９課ファイル」な本です。
