友人に勧められて、矢野絢子さんを聞きだしたのですが、今回のアルバムですっかりハマってしまいました

時には繊細で時には力強い、抜群の歌唱力
切なくて懐かしい旋律
すっかり電子音楽に慣れて居た自分ですが、シンプルでいて洗練された楽曲に、楽器の演奏ってこんなに良い物なのかと驚かされました
そして何より、歌詞が良いですね
切ないような優しいような、不思議な気持ちにさせてくれます

流行りの歌によく見られるような派手さが無い分、万人受けとは行かないでしょうが…
穏やかな優しい時間は、ジブリの世界観なんかに近い気がします
そういうのが好きな人には、絶対お勧めだと思います☆

よく中島みゆきさんが引き合いに出されることがありますが、聴く者の受けとめ方やレスポンス、
更に言えばターゲットさえどことなく認識しているように見える中島さんに対して、矢野さんは
（もちろん彼女自身の若さや両者の立ち位置の違いもありますが）「誰でもいい、聴いて感じ
取ってくれ」的な外連味のなさを感じる、という点で、同じ "心の叫び" であっても、その指向性
は異なると思います。

一般に彼女のスタイルというと、ナイフのように研いだメッセージ性の強い言葉を芯の通った
ヴォーカルとピアノで発するイメージを持っている方が多いと思いますが、その言葉のナイフ
は決して人を傷つけるためのものではない、むしろ聴く者の心を開けるための一つの道具に
過ぎない、ということが作品を聴きこんでいくにつれてはっきりと分かってきます。そして、
開かれて無防備になった僕たちの心に圧倒的な人としての優しさ（「愛」と言いたいとこだが、
それはちょっと気恥ずかしいな(笑)）や未来を見据えたポジティブで真っ直ぐな気持ちが容赦
なく飛び込んでくるのです。矢野絢子さんの歌を聴いて、涙がでるくらい感動する所以です。
このアルバムでも、リスナーは「明るい方へ」「ふたつにプレゼント」「吉野桜」など随所でその
攻撃を受けることになると思います。

彼女を歌を聴くたびに、私は泣いてしまう。

豊かな表現力を持った彼女の声は、歌詞の意味を映し出し、目の前に迫ってくる。
白んだ視界が開け、引きずり込まれる感覚。いつ聴いても心地よく、不安が湧き上がる。
危ういバランスの上に成り立つ世界は、今にも崩れてしまいそうだ。

彼女の叩く鍵盤と、彼女の震わす喉笛は、もはやそれ自身を超越して私たちに何かを喚起させる。
まるで、幼い頃の思い出のように。

だから、私は泣いてしまうのだ。
