ヴァンゲリスの映画音楽といえば、「炎のランナー」「ブレードランナー」とこの「南極物語」で決まりです。
しかもこの価格！買って損なし！！
先日、ディズニーリメイクが公開されましたが、
あのテーマが流れない「南極物語」は考えられません。
また、音楽を聞いているだけでも涼しくなり、夏のBGMとしても最高です。

作曲家黛一郎氏が
「♪チャン！チャン、チャン、チャ〜ンで、一億ですよ」
といった逸話の残るサントラです。
氏の主張するほどヴァンゲリスのこの楽曲は
薄っぺらなものでしょうか？

このアルバムは映画【南極物語】のサントラですが、
テレビ朝日が毎年正月の特別番組としてシリーズ化していた
【日本百景】でもよく使われていました。
私にとってはサントラよりも
こちらのテレビシリーズのほうが馴染みあるため、
北海道の風雪に耐える木々や、
のどかな野原を走るキタキツネの兄弟たち、
目をつぶるとそういった四季折々の風景が見えてきます。

ヴァンゲリスが描いた日本の音風景です。
