映画の方を観て気に入った人なら、このサントラは必携！絶対満足できると思います。既成の曲はなく、この映画のために用意された曲ばかりだからか聴いていると映画の情景が浮かんできて興奮が甦ります。主題歌ともいえるファイヤーインクの２曲(1,6)は、ジム・スタインマンの作。ミートローフやボニー・タイラーのプロデュースで知られる人で’屋上に階を重ねるような？’ドラマチックな作風が特徴的でここでもコテコテに盛り上げてくれます。このサントラからの大ヒットは、映画では黒人４人組ソレルズ（実はダン・ハートマン）が歌う(8)（全米６位）。ソウルフルなポップで、何度聴いてもいい曲だなあと思います。ダン・ハートマンのベスト盤でよりディスコっぽくパワーアップしたバージョンも聴けますが、やっぱりこのソレルズ版が良いです。
ライ・クーダーのボーカル曲が１曲入ってますが、劇中で流れるスライドギターをフィーチャしたスコアも別に出して欲しいなと思います。
この盤、特に紙ジャケ仕様でもなく何がLIMITED EDITIONかと言うと値段が初回限定価格ということらしいです。
