昔The Crusadersを知らなかった頃ラジオから流れているのを聴いてレコード店
を探し回りました。まだ発売前だった事を知り、後日発売と同時に購入しました。
現在はCDですのでレコードと合わせて都合2枚買ったことになります(笑)

ポップでテンポの良い曲とスローな曲が極端ですが好きなアルバムです。
2曲目の明日への道標(I'm So Glad I'm Standing Here Today)はジョー・コッカーの
ボーカルが楽しめます。コッカーの渋い歌声は本当に格好良いですね。
3曲目Sunshine in Your Eyesはチョッパー丸出しでノリノリです♪
〆の2曲Longest NightとReprizeは思わず聴き入ってしまい余韻がたまりません。
じっくりコーヒーでも飲みながらゆったりと聴き入って欲しいですね。

このアルバムは他のアルバムと少し曲調が違った感じがします。
買えとは言いませんが、友人が持っていたら是非借りてみて下さい。
好き嫌いがあるかもしれませんがクルセに興味のある方は一聴の価値ありです。

クルセイダースはジャズかフュージョンか？　答えはどちらでもある。気持ちＥ音楽なのである。車の中でもソファーに座っていてもはたまた仕事中のオフィスでも心を癒す音楽である。
今聞いても全然古くないフュージョンの極意に浸ってほしいそれが「スタンディング・トール」であれます。

5.0 out of 5 stars オシャレ系クルセイダーズの代表作？, 2005/10/13
ディスコミュージックかと思わせるシンセのリフを持った#1もいいし、
ジョー・コッカーをヴォーカルに起用した２曲も渋い。
「Street Life」の路線を踏襲しつつ、当時の流行りを取り入れた
名作と思います。たしか81年ころの作品だった。
