5.0 out of 5 stars 究極のコンセプトアルバムを映像音源で, 2006/1/21
20世紀最高のコンセプトアルバムの1つとして名高い「Metropolis Pt.2: Scenes from a Memory」を再現したライブ映像。

その非常に壮大なストーリー性を損なわない再現力はもちろん、Dream Theaterらしい各メンバーの技術力やライブパフォーマンスも健在で観るものを飽きさせない。彼らの音源は聴いたことはあるが映像は観たことのない人は是非ともこれを手に取ってほしい。

日本語字幕は2つあり、1つは語りの字幕、もう1つはメンバーによる音声解説に対する字幕で、歌詞の和訳はDVD中にもライナーノーツにも収録されていない。なのでストーリーも含めて楽しみたいという人は日本語版のCDを手に入れてから聴く方がいいと思う(英語が理解できれば問題無いんだろうけど)。

このメトロポリス2000はドリームシアターらしさがとてもでています！
とにかく今回の目玉であるストーリーから各個人の異常なまでの超人プレイ・・・もう見ていて涙がとまりません！音楽を愛する人たちは絶対に買いましょう。

この難解な曲をここまで再現できるとは正直びっくりしました。個人個人のレベルの高さ。そして超ハイレベルでの融合。このバンドは音楽と言ううよりスポーツ＋芸術と言った方が良いと思います。サッカーで例えるなら、現在のバルセロナ。このバンドと遭えて感謝感謝です。文句の付け所がない完璧なバンドです。ジョーダン加入後のレベルＵＰには目を見張るものがあります。ジェームス、Ｗジョン、ジョーダン、マーキーに感謝感謝です。世間の方にもっと認知されればいいのになー。
