前作「さくら」から実に７年ぶり。通算１４作目のオリジナルアルバム。改めてサザンの幅広い音楽性を感じる全３０曲の超大作です。

2003年以降に「シングル曲」として世に出て行った、元々はアルバム用に作った楽曲達。それらを集めて「ニューアルバムです」というのも醜いので、もっともっと曲を作って、既発の曲がたくさん入っていても後ろ指を指されない体裁と質感のあるものにしようと思った…と、桑田さんは語ってます。

そのボリュームもさることながら、すごいですよ。このクオリティは。音楽好きな人ならば、思わず笑ってしまうような随所にちりばめられた音遊びや、歌謡曲、ロック、ジャズ、ヒップホップまで、バラエティに富んだ曲調でありながら、アルバム全体としての統一感。発売済みのシングル曲とカップリング曲も、見事にアルバムに溶け込んでいます。
（一部のシングル曲は、アルバム全体としての音合わせの為、リミックス＆リマスタリングしてます!!）

桑田さん自身がおっしゃっているように、「壮年期のサザン」を感じさせる、ちょっと「落ち着いた感じ」も受け、歌い方に関しても同様に、昔のような「若さとパワー押し」な感じは薄くなりましたが、時間をかけて完成させただけある「今のサザン」が詰まっているアルバムだと感じました。

　先日大阪ドームのコンサートに行ってきました。

　その後で聴いたこのアルバムは違いました。以前よりどの曲も何と光り輝いていることか！表現に困るくらいの閃光を放っているようです。

　今回は幸運だったけれど、コンサートの場面場面が頭の中に浮かんでくる状態で曲を聴くことが出来る幸せは、実際見てきた人にしか解らないプラチナ製特権みたいなもの。
　
　私は死ぬまであの日の記憶を抱いてゆける、一番の幸せ者です。
　「キラーストリート」万歳！！今後私にとってこのアルバムは「特別な永遠」になったのです。

　そしてこれだけたくさんのレビューをもらえるだけでも、このアルバムは「ＴＡＩＳＨＩＴＡ（わっかるかなー）」もんだと思いますよ。

僕はこのアルバムからサザンが好きになりました。本当にどれも素晴らしく良かったです。昔から、今まで全く才能が衰えていないことを証明するアルバムだと思います。本当に買って良かったです
