ファンにとっては「クリームリユニオン」の事実だけで、喜びたいところだ。クリームが活動していたのは、あのビートルズ、ジミヘンドリックス、オリジナルメンバーのストーンズのレジェンド達と同時期なのだ。ツェッペリン、キングクリムゾンなどがようやく活動を始める頃にはすでに解散。そんなバンドが再結成。それも奇跡的にオリジナルメンバーが存命中。こんなアルバムとＤＶＤを残してくれた事に感謝したい。もちろん、クリームが現役時代の頃のような壮絶なインプロビゼーションはここには無く、「今」のメンバーが丁寧に代表曲を披露している。大手術後のジャックブルースのボーカルやベースが弱々しい事や、（特にブンブンうなる奔放なベースが影を潜めてしまっている）ＳＧ等のギブソンを一切使わずに、ストラト一本で通してしまうクラプトンなど、残念な事もあるが、結構楽しめる。各メンバーが現在できる最高のパフォーマンス、ということで、昔と比べるのは適切ではないだろう。年寄りのバンドではあるが、トリオとしては悪くないと思う。繰り返すようだが、長年のクリームファンの私としてはただ感謝するのみです。

たまたまアメリカに行った際に発売日と当たり、
衝動的に買ってしまった。

これが大当たりだった。
最初の曲から最後まで通して聞いてみると、
いかに録音技術が進歩して、３人の演奏がクリアーに
とらえられているかが、よくわかる。
ライブでありながらも音質は相当良い。

曲目はまんべんなく網羅されており、
昔との聞き比べも楽しくなる。
ただこれが現在の彼らの音なんだと
妙に納得してしまう。

また曲間のお互いの声掛けを聞いていると、
三人がいかにリラックスしつつ楽しそうに演奏しているのがわかる。

クラプトンも近年にしては珍しく長めにギターソロをやり
弾きまくっている感じがある。

これからDVDが届く予定になっているが、
CDとは別テイクと聞いている。
届くのが楽しみでしょうがない。

はじめてクリームを聞く人にも
薦めることができる作品。

こんなにかっこいいブルースロックは聴いた事がないぜ！
「このＣＤを聴けばこんな俺でも強くなれる！」
というロックン・ロールの理屈抜きの初期衝動に満ち溢れている。
俺にとっては古くて新しい最良の精神、つまり、人生最強のＣＤ！
