80年代にヘア・メタル・バラードで一世を風靡した者が、熱狂的なシューゲイジングや、その他のオルタナティブ・ロック主流となった次の時代に何をするのだろう? 自分がジョン・ボン・ジョヴィの立場だったら、バンドの野心を減らし、けっこう得意なインディーズ映画やテレビの俳優業へ転身しつつ、主にはポップス界の流れが有利に動くのを待つだろう。けれども、ジョン・ボン・ジョヴィとギタリストで共同制作者のリッチー・サンボラはバンドの運が90年代に中途半端だったからといって、人の注意を引くだけの歌を作って才能を台無しにはしなかったと、この力強い数々の歌のまさにすべてが主張している。ボン・ジョヴィの収録曲は、かつてないほど受け入れやすいが、甘いだけのことはほとんどなく、ケリーを支持した2004年大統領選挙への皮肉なしっぺ返しであるタイトル曲をはじめとする励ますようなシニシズム、そして、頻繁にほろ苦くなる個人その他の歴史への反省的な見方のふたつを交互に吹き込んでくる。義務的なビッグ・バラード、「I Am」（邦題「アイ・アム」）の単調なメタルが、同じくいいかげんなリリックに打ち勝つことができていないように、このアルバムはかなりお決まりの方式に陥っているともいえるが、同時に心温かく驚かせてくれるアルバムだともいえる。意外にも、「Last Man Standing」（邦題「ラスト・マン・スタンディング」）や「Bells of Freedom」）（邦題「ベルズ・オブ・フリーダム」のアコースティックな理想主義ではディランを称え、「I Want to Live」（邦題「生きる歓び」）をハードエッジにした感じの「Who Says You Can't Go Home」（邦題「フー・セズ・ユー・キャント・ゴー・ホーム？」）ではシュガーランドのジェニファー・ネトルスとのデュエットが成功している。ボン・ジョヴィは、大きく未来へ戻ることで、磨き上げた音の勝利を見せているが、片方の耳は、ここしばらくの過去の不安なエネルギーへしっかり傾けている。1曲以外のすべてが高集積サラウンド・サウンドで収録され、限定盤DVDの『ハヴ・ア・ナイス・デイ』（原題『Have a Nice Day』）とライヴ・フロム・アトランティック・シティ 2004からのライヴ演奏6曲の映像も同様である。（Jerry McCulley, Amazon.com）

ボンジョビファンなら絶対購入すべしっ！居ながらにしてコンサート会場に居る気分です。DualDisc自体も便利ですっごくイイです。収納スペースを考えてみてもDualはイイし、2枚組みだと1枚なくなった~！なんて探さなくてもいい。満足２のアルバムです。
ただ　ディスクを取ろうとしてケースの爪が簡単にパッキンと折れたのは
残念賞でした。
ポスターかステッカーが付いてるって書いてあったけど入ってませんでした。休みにはこれ1枚で充分楽しめそうです!!!　とーっても楽しいDVDですよ。

ここのレビューを見て、ついつい買ってしまいました。
結果、大満足でした(^-^)
我が家も5.1chサラウンドはないのですが、
なんちゃってサラウンドシステムでも相当にいい音で
聴くことができました。
違った曲に聞こえるという表現も当たっています。
初回限定版DVD→JAPANエディション→DUAL・・と
似たようなものついつい買ってしまいましたが、
これが一番良かったです！（力説）

ホームシアターお持ちの方はDUALDISCを買いましょう。
２ｃｈで凝縮されている音が５ｃｈ＋ウーハーに分散され、あらゆる音が聞こえてきます。ジョンの声が真ん中からズッシリと迫り、リッチーのアコースティックギターやトーキングモジュレーターの音がリアからステレオで聞こえてきます。効果音が四方八方から飛び交い、低音が体に響いてきます。音質もCDと比べ物にならない格段にレベルアップした最高音質です。収録曲では1st SingleのHave A Nice Dayが全く違う印象で聞こえてきました。
「Slippery〜」アルバムもDUALDISC出てます。DVDプレーヤーで再生可能です。
