このCDについて

「くるり×京急」夢のコラボレーション！ 鉄道雑誌で連載を持っていたほか、出身地の京都を走る京阪の駅をジャケットに使用したり、楽曲中にも列車や駅名がしばしば登場したりと、こよみなく鉄道を愛する岸田繁が京急からの依頼を快諾、京浜急行電鉄のテーマソングとして書き下ろしたのが「赤い電車」だ。京浜急行電鉄の地方限定TVCM曲としてオンエアされたところ、反響が大きくCD化が決定。京急の発車時のモーター音を表現した歌詞が入っていたり、実際の音を間奏で使用するなど鉄道マニアならではの遊び心がいっぱいだ。

3歳の息子が「くぅりの、あかいでんしゃ聞かして」と
大のお気に入りです。

歌にあわせて「ぴーぴっ、ぴーぴっぴっ」とか
「ふぁそあしどれみふぉー！」と歌って踊ってます。

この曲のプロモは、「トーマス」のビデオに続いて、
我が家ではヘビーローテーションです。

ありがとう、くるりさん。
子どもの感性は大人よりも正直。
ウチの子ははまったようです。

京急電鉄のイメージソング「赤い電車」
電子音、ギター、岸田氏のアンニュイな声色が絶妙なハーモニーを繰り出す。
間奏では電車の効果音を使用。おもろい。
松田chabe岳二氏ことCubismo Grafico Remixも収録。
原曲によりポジティブ感を増量したご機嫌なハウスミックスです。

くるりというアーティストは知っていましたが、メンバーの方が鉄道好きとは知りませんでした。そういうわけで初めて買ったこのＣＤ、なかなか面白かったです。特に加速時の音階には思わず、おぉと微笑んでしまいました。加速時に音階を奏でるような音は、乗ったことのある人ならば特徴があるので知っていると思います。鉄道が特に好きでない人でも楽しめる作品ではないかな。
